‘Stranger Things’ Season 2: First On-Set Photos, Millie Bobby Brown’s Big Payday

Warning: This article may contain Stranger Things Season 2 spoilers.

Stranger Things fans were thrilled when Netflix finally announced a second season of the nostalgic 80s thriller back in August. Now, the first images of Season 2 have been leaked on the internet, according to the Sun.

In a series of photos taken on a dim Atlanta street, Stranger Things stars Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) are seen atop their bikes — presumably off to solve another mystery about the creepy parallel universe, the Upside Down. Matarazzo and McLaughlin are also shown sitting and standing next to a brick wall.

Notably absent from the photos is actor Noah Schnapp, whose character, Will Byers, was kidnapped by a Demogorgon monster and taken to the Upside Down in the first season. Fans of Stranger Things know that Will was rescued in the final episode and returned to his mother, Joyce (Winona Ryder). However, he didn’t look like himself in the final scenes, and, as the Inquisitr previously noted, Schnapp thinks his character could be in for a rough ride in Season 2.

“I don’t know. But my guess is that maybe he’s going to become evil in the next season. If he’s coughing up these baby Demogorgons, or eggs, or something, maybe he’s incubating or holding these eggs inside of him, and he’s trying to fight his good side against his bad side in the next season. That would be cool to see, to see him become evil.”

Not that Schnapp would mind seeing Will go a bit dark.

“I mean, there are so many ways Will can go in the next season with how they set it up,” he says. “But honestly, any way would be pretty cool. But it would be pretty cool to play an evil Will.”

Also missing from the new Stranger Things Season 2 photos is breakout star Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven. Given her character’s dramatic actions at the end of Season 1, there had been some question whether Brown would return for Season 2. However, the official Stranger Things twitter ended all speculation last month when it tweeted this photo of the cast read through — with Brown seated in the middle.

According to the Mirror, Brown’s success in Stranger Things has made her a hot name in Hollywood. Industry insiders say that the 12-year-old Brit could command up to £3 million ($3.77 million) per picture and is likely to be cast in a number of upcoming projects.

“Millie has that unquantifiable star quality,” the paper quotes a Hollywood insider as saying. “She is also extremely talented and hard-working but, above all else, exceedingly driven, ambitious and determined. She may only be 12 but Millie, and her team, have a very focused career plan in place, and the world really is her oyster. As of 2017, Millie can expect to earn in excess of £3 million per film – and this will shoot up once she hits 16.”

And what are some of the roles Brown may pursue? According to Paste Magazine, during a recent appearance at Rhode Island Comic Con, the young actress expressed interest in the Star Wars franchise.

“If they made—I think they are making another Star Wars—I would love a role like that,” Brown said. “Because I want to do something far from Eleven.”

Brown went on to say she’d love to play a young version of Princess Leia, and she doesn’t just have her eye on films.

“There’s this one show I just want to be on so badly, I’ve tried everything to get on The Walking Dead. I don’t even care if I’m a zombie,” she said.
