Miley Cyrus May Move To Liam Hemsworth’s Homeland To Star On ‘The Voice Australia’

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been the subject of breakup rumors recently, but Miley may soon make a huge move to her man’s homeland.

On Wednesday, Miley and her Aussie fiancé proved that they’re still very much a couple by going out for lunch in Malibu. According to X17 Online, the couple was not alone — their afternoon outing was a family affair. They were joined by Liam Hemsworth’s brother Luke, Luke’s wife, and Luke and Liam’s parents. Miley Cyrus wore a blue Christmas-themed sweatshirt decorated with animals wearing wreaths and Santa hats, and she was filmed having a very animated conversation with her fellow diners.

Miley Cyrus appeared to be in good spirits after the devastating night that she had on Tuesday. As Yahoo! Music reports, all of Miley’s remaining team members were eliminated from The Voice, leaving her with no singers to compete in next week’s finale. This makes her the only coach who doesn’t have a shot at winning Season 11 of the NBC singing competition.

Unfortunately for Miley, Gwen Stefani will soon take her old chair back from the younger pop star for Season 12 of The Voice, which premieres in February. As the Wrap reports, Miley Cyrus will return for Season 13 next fall. However, she may not have to wait that long to sit in a spinning red seat again.

According to News.com.au, Miley Cyrus is under consideration for a coaching gig on the upcoming season of The Voice Australia. There’s reportedly “industry chatter” that the show’s producers want her to joining the coaching panel, which currently includes Seal, Delta Goodrem, and Boy George. The Culture Club frontman has a lot in common with Miley Cyrus, including a love of outrageous outfits and an appearance on a different version of The Voice (Boy George was a coach on the fifth season of The Voice UK). He’s also a fan of glitter.

“The U.K. season was a warm-up and I am ready to sprinkle some pop-tactic glitter dust all over the show,” the singer said.

Boy George also warned viewers that he plans on engaging in a “bit of banter,” which is something Miley Cyrus has plenty of experience with. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Blake Shelton has jokingly complained that his fellow coach talks way too much.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Miley Cyrus admitted that she has enjoyed being on The Voice so much that she’s “jealous” of Gwen Stefani and the other coaches who are returning for Season 12, so it seems like she’d be open to appearing on the Australian version of the show while she waits to get her chair back from Gwen.

Miley Cyrus may also be interested in spending some more time in the Land Down Under because she and Liam Hemsworth are looking to move there. According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, via the Daily Mail, the couple may purchase a $4.5 million beach house near Byron Bay, which is where Liam’s brother, Chris Hemsworth, and his family live. Miley has become close pals with Chris’ wife, Elsa Patakay, and Us Weekly has even obtained photos of the future sisters-in-law shopping together in Byron Bay.

Liam Hemsworth is reportedly set to film two movies in Australia in the next 12 months, so this gives Miley Cyrus further incentive to sign on for The Voice Australia. However, she may not want to live in Byron Bay while starring on the show — it’s filmed in Sydney, which is a nine-hour drive away. There’s no word on where Liam’s rumored movies are going to be filmed.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly looked at potential wedding venues around Byron Bay, so even if they decide not to live in Australia, they may end up getting married there.
