Is Brad Pitt’s Net Worth In Jeopardy? Expert Claims He Could Be Headed For An Expensive Divorce From Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the midst of a divorce, and a new report claims the 52-year-old actor’s net worth may be in jeopardy.

According to a report from Hollywood Life on December 8, Brad Pitt, 52, and Angelina Jolie, 41, may be headed for one of the “most expensive and prolonged” split fans have seen in Hollywood. David Pisarra, a California Divorce attorney, spoke to the outlet after examining court documents filed by both Brad Pitt and his estranged wife and revealed things were reportedly headed in a pricey direction.

“The docs show that Angelina intends to fight [Brad Pitt] on everything and will not back down,” Pisarra explained to the outlet. “Angie is indicating that she is going to turn this into a long, expensive process.”

According to the attorney, Angelina Jolie’s lawyers have reportedly threatened to counter with child custody evaluations, which can get expensive very quickly. In fact, according to Pisarra, Jolie’s latest request could allegedly cost her and Brad Pitt up to $250,000 — or more.

“They will have a team of psychiatrists and therapists that will want to talk to and run tests on the children… The experts will also want to interview the Brad, Angelina, nannies, parents, friends, family, all the kids involved. These experts are very expensive and this will turn into a long drawn out process. Or Brad could surrender quickly and give Angelina what she wants and avoid this long, expensive, nasty, public divorce.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 19 and requested full physical custody of her and Brad Pitt’s six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8. Since then, the children have resided with Jolie while Brad Pitt is limited to restrictive visitation with his family.

On December 5, after the children reportedly spent the Thanksgiving holiday away from their father, Angelina Jolie allegedly filed new court documents in which she requested a new therapist who would decide whether or not Brad Pitt would see his children at all, aside from the monitored visitation he currently has. Then, in response to Jolie’s papers, which were filed publicly, Brad Pitt requested an “emergency hearing” to “seal all documents” between them for the sake of their children’s privacy. Unfortunately, a judge denied his request the following day.

Following Jolie’s divorce filing in September, Brad Pitt was accused of getting physical with their son Maddox on the family’s private jet. En route to Los Angeles from France, Brad Pitt allegedly made some sort of physical contact with the child, according to the rumor, but months after the report hit the web, he was cleared of all charges by both the Los Angeles Country Department of Child and Family Services and the FBI.

Still, Jolie is reportedly hung up on the incident and on December 8, TMZ revealed, a new report suggested the actress had requested she and Brad Pitt “participate in joint sessions with a trauma specialist so they may learn how to best support and interact with their children.”

In her filing, Jolie reportedly highlighted the September plane ride where Brad Pitt was said to have been verbally and physically abusive towards his 15-year-old son. She also allegedly suggested that her children were reportedly in need of some sort of healing due to the “trauma” that was rumored to have taken place.

While it is unclear how much of his net worth, which is currently said to be around $240 million, will be spent on his divorce from Jolie, it doesn’t look like there’s an end in sight when it comes to the estranged couple’s custody battle. In fact, Pisarra said Jolie appears to be attempting to punish her soon-to-be ex-husband.

“[Angelina Jolie] is already not playing by the rules by going against their prior agreement and making information public” and is likely “trying to punish Brad for pushing for more custody of the kids,” Pisarra explained.
