Kim Kardashian Is Reportedly Planning To Sell Her House After Allegedly Speaking To A Divorce Lawyer [Rumor]
Kim Kardashian might be putting her $20 million Hidden Hills home on the market. Just days after her husband, rapper Kanye West returned home from the hospital, a report claims the 36-year-old reality star is attempting to take control of West’s alleged “money woes.”
While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are worth a reported $230 million, a Life & Style magazine insider claims that the rapper’s finances are currently in “bad shape” which has led Kardashian to consider selling the Los Angeles home they purchased in 2014.
“[Kim Kardashian] has begged Kanye to sell it, but Kanye has refused,” a source explained to the magazine on December 8. “Now would be the perfect time to list the house for sale.”
While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West purchased the Hidden Hills home in 2014, the mansion has reportedly been under construction ever since. And, judging by a photo shared of the home, it appears they have plenty of work left to do.
The magazine’s source went on to reveal that Kris Jenner has reportedly also weighed in on the situation, and while she loves her son-in-law, she wants her daughter to protect her net worth as much as she possibly can.
“Kris warned [Kim Kardashian] that Kanye’s creditors could come after Kim’s money,” the source said. “Kim wants to do whatever she can to stop Kanye’s financial losses.”
Kim Kardashian married Kanye West in May 2014 and shares two children with the rapper; daughter North West, 3, and son Saint West, 1. As fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will likely recall, Kim Kardashian and her now-husband became engaged at the AT&T Stadium in San Francisco, California, during an episode of the show years ago. Then, they were seen as they prepared to walk down the aisle in Italy surrounded by several friends and family members.
Prior to her marriage to West, Kim Kardashian was married to Kris Humphries, but their marriage lasted just 72 days. Kim Kardashian was also married to Damon Thomas from 2000-2004.
Although it has not yet been confirmed whether or not Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will remain married amid his ongoing recovery, rumors are swirling in regard to their potential divorce, the latest of which claims Kardashian has already been speaking to her divorce lawyer and friend, Laura Wasser.
“[Kim Kardashian] really thought Kanye was her soul mate and is absolutely devastated,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine on December 8, adding that she’s been “miserable” in their marriage.
According to the magazine, it is not clear whether Kim Kardashian will be represented by Wasser if she does choose to divorce. However, as fans will recall, Wasser did represent Kardashian in 2011 when she filed documents to end her marriage to Humphries.
While Kim Kardashian might reportedly be considering divorce, her husband is allegedly in the dark about her secret chats with Wasser.
“Kanye has absolutely no idea that any of this is happening, but Kim has already asked to have divorce documents drawn up. An announcement could happen at any time,” said a source. “She’s been doing everything in top secret.”
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kim Kardashian is said to be worth a reported $150 million, and she earns an alleged $50 million each year. Meanwhile, husband West is reportedly worth $145 million. That said, West told his Twitter fans and followers in February that he was $53 million in debt.
“I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt… Please pray we overcome… This is my true heart,” he tweeted.
Kim Kardashian has not yet publicly addressed rumors of her potential impending divorce, nor has she confirmed plans to sell her Hidden Hills home.
