Are Britney Spears And Christina Aguilera Finally Ending Feud And Recording A Duet? Britney Forgets Where Own Catchphrase Began

It’s been more than 15 years since Britney Spears and Christian Aguilera owned the pop star spotlight and battled it out for the princess title. The two former Mickey Mouse Club stars were rivals of the late ’90s and the tension has reportedly spanned the last decade. But rumor now has it that the two entertainers may be joining forces and ending the feud stirred up in years gone by.

As Us Weekly states, fans believe there have been clues given via social media that suggest Spears and Aguilera may be teaming up for a duet. following a fan having posted a screenshot from a music-licensing website on which both pop star divas are listed as singers of Spear’s “Do You Wanna Come Over?” track off her ninth studio album, Glory. which was released in August.

The publication notes details of the discovery and why it is that fans believe Brit and Christina are ready to make music together after all these years.

“The excitement all began when Twitter user @TheChristinaVIP shared an image from APRA (Australasian Performing Right Association) that has the song registered with the original slate of cowriters — but includes Spears and Aguilera’s names as the tune’s vocalists. German dance duo La Bouche (who are most famous for their 1995 hit “Be My Lover”) are also listed as performers, which would be a welcome addition to the potential collaboration, if you ask Us.”

That collaboration would definitely be a blast from the past that would thrill the kids of the ’90s, Another apparent thrill related to Spears was the star’s 35th birthday celebration that took place at the Jingle Ball in Los Angeles, where the superstar performed and was presented with a cake by Ryan Seacrest. Brit has certainly not been slowing down and continues to wow audiences with her Vegas residency shows. However, perhaps being so busy as a superstar performer and mother of two has caused her memory to be a little fuzzy about certain facts of the past. As the Daily Mail notes, Spears was recently asked where her “It’s Britney b****” catchphrase came from and the star had a tough time recalling.

“The just-turned -35-year-old cannot remember where the iconic phrase originated from. In a radio interview with 99.7 Now Britney credited her 2012 collaboration with will.i.am as the origin of ‘It’s Britney, B*tch’ — when in fact it had been around for five years before that.”

The publication reminds that the phrase was first uttered in her 2007 hit “Gimme More,” after Spears had connected it to a performance with will.i.am in 2012. However, perhaps Brit can be cut a bit of slack seeing as the year the catch phrase became a thing for the diva was the same year that she had her infamous meltdown. It’s likely that Spears has simply tried to forget that difficult time in her life.

But Britney has proven to be forgetful on other occasions lately. One example of this was when Britney was asked during an interview on KIIS 106.5 FM who she would prefer to sit next to on a 24-hour flight, Katy Perry or Taylor Swift. Spears chose Swift, giving the reason, “because I’ve never met her before,” yet the singer has in fact met Taylor on at least two occasions. The Daily Mail shares that the two met in 2003 and 2008, even getting photographed together in the latter meeting at the MTV VMAs

Did Britney really forget meeting Taylor or is she following suit behind ultra diva Mariah Carey who has cheekily denied meeting or knowing Jennifer Lopez and a number of other female artists on various occasions? Nope, Spears likely just forgot.
