Miranda Lambert Performs ‘Vice’ On ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ Amid Anderson East Wedding Rumors

Miranda Lambert will be appearing on today’s new episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, and during her appearance, she will sing “Vice,” the first single from her new album, The Weight of These Wings.

As rumors continue to swirl in regard to Miranda Lambert’s potential plans to wed boyfriend Anderson East, the 33-year-old country singer continues to promote her sixth studio album, which was released last month.

Although Us Weekly suggested months ago that “Vice” may have been inspired by her 2015 divorce from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert isn’t expected to answer any questions about the song — or her highly-publicized split from her fellow country singer. Instead, as Hollywood Life revealed on December 7, Miranda Lambert will be sticking to a simple performance during her appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show.

“[Miranda Lambert] belted out the record’s first single, ‘Vice,’ on Ellen’s stage, evoking all sorts of emotions as she smiled through the heartbreaking lyrics,” the outlet explained of her appearance.

On the track, Miranda Lambert speaks of her vices, one of which seems to be men.

“Another vice, another call, another bed I shouldn’t crawl out of. At 7 a.m., with shoes in my hand said I wouldn’t do it, but I did it again / And I know I’ll be back tomorrow night / Sweet salvation on a dining room table / Waiting on me, where the numb meets the lonely / It’s gone before it ever melts the ice.”

While Miranda Lambert certainly didn’t reveal who inspired the song, fans expected to hear divorce-related tracks on her album because she had written the compilation in the months after she and Shelton parted ways after just four years of marriage.

During her time with DeGeneres, Miranda Lambert showed off her remarkable figure in a black jumpsuit with a halter neckline. Meanwhile, she kept her hair simple as she wore it parted in the center and down.

Following Miranda Lambert’s divorce from Blake Shelton last year, he moved on with Gwen Stefani and she moved on to Anderson East. However, while Shelton has been quite public with his romance, sharing moments with Stefani on The Voice and on social media, Lambert has been much more private when it comes to her relationship East.

That said, as Hollywood Life revealed, Miranda Lambert did sing a song about finding love when she least expected it. The song, “Pushin’ Time,” detailed “exactly what happened when Miranda met her current boyfriend, Anderson East,” the outlet alleged.

As Miranda Lambert and Anderson East continue to keep their romance private, sources claim the couple has discussed the idea of getting married and starting a family. According to a report by E! News in October, Miranda Lambert and her boyfriend could soon take their relationship to the next level.

“[Miranda Lambert] wants to get married again and have children soon. That has been an open conversation between her and Anderson. He wants the same… Miranda is very happy with Anderson. They have gotten very close. Her friends think this is the guy for her.”

In addition to her happy relationship, the source went on to reveal that Miranda Lambert is currently in a great place in her life as a whole.

“[Miranda Lambert] is at the top of her game now,” the E! News insider continued. “She loves how she feels from the inside out. Her close friends and family feel like she is back and better then ever with how her personal life is going and also her career.”
