New York’s ‘Catwoman’ Jocelyn Wildenstein Arrested For Clawing Boyfriend

Jocelyn Wildenstein, the socialite who spent millions to surgically alter her face to look like a cat, has been arrested at her Manhattan apartment after clawing her fashion designer boyfriend and then attacking him with a scissor. Police were called to Trump World Tower, and Ms. Wildenstein was taken into custody.

Wildenstein is known worldwide for her extensive plastic surgery that reportedly cost her more than most people make in a lifetime. Though her face appears as if her surgery was botched, it is said that she achieved the feline look she desired. Doctors Dubrow and Nassif from the E! show Botched have made a career out of correcting these types of surgical alterations, says the Inquisitr, but Wildenstein has continued to go under the knife to look more and more like a wild cat.

Jocelyn Wildenstein, 76, nicknamed Catwoman for her feline appearance, is said to have flown into a “violent rage,” attacking her boyfriend, designer Lloyd Klein, and scratching his face, says PageSix. After scratching his face, she pulled out a pair of scissors, slashing his chest, and drawing blood. Klein claims he was only able to get to safety after stuffing Wildenstein in a closet.

Police say that Jocelyn Wildenstein has been charged with felony assault. Jocelyn Wildenstein was born in Switzerland, and she is said to have undergone vast amounts of surgery in an effort to please her cat-loving husband, Alec Wildenstein, who died in 2008.

The Daily Beast shared some background on the Wildensteins, and it is indeed wild. Jocelyn Wildenstein was once married to billionaire Alec Wildenstein. He later divorced Jocelyn and remarried before his death from prostate cancer.

The Wildenstein heirs are currently on trial for tax fraud and money laundering, and authorities say they have Jocelyn and other spurned wives to thank for providing them with evidence. It is said to have started when Jocelyn returned home to the Wildenstein Manhattan townhouse to find Alec in bed with a 21-year-old Russian model, who would become his wife after he divorced Jocelyn. Alec pulled a gun and aimed it at Jocelyn and her bodyguards. Alec Wildenstein told police that he thought they were intruders.

A messy divorce ensued, and Jocelyn was dubbed “Bride of Wildenstein” by columnist George Rush for all of the plastic surgery she had to look like one of Alec’s big cats on his ranch in Kenya. Jocelyn walked away with $2.5 billion in the divorce, which alerted authorities to the amount of money the Wildensteins had.

The Daily Beast quoted Rush, who said, “Jocelyne knew a lot about the family’s business dealings and shrewdly exploited that knowledge. The Wildensteins couldn’t tolerate a forensic accounting in an American court. So, she was in a strong position to dictate her terms. Sylvia was in an even stronger position, having been married to the patriarch, Daniel. The Wildensteins are sensitive to even the slightest glare of publicity. Whether or not Guy is convicted of tax fraud, the look on his face as he left court on Monday suggests that the media burn he’s suffering must be excruciating.”

Jocelyn Wildenstein got lucky and walked away with the money without being charged in the Wildenstein tax fraud case. Alec is dead, and the rest of the family is being paraded through court to get to the bottom of the Wildenstein money.

Do you think that Jocelyn Wildenstein will be prosecuted for assault, or will the charges be dropped? What do you think of the catwoman plastic surgery?
