Kody Brown Pitches New Show To TLC About Polygamy, Reportedly Secretly Films Pilot
Kody Brown has a hit series on his hands with Sister Wives on TLC. There have been other polygamists shows, but none of them have been able to stick around like this one. Now, it turns out that Kody is allegedly trying to get another show going on TLC and has already started working on it. Life & Style shared what is being reported about this new show. So far, the Brown family and TLC haven’t said a word about it. If a new series is coming, it isn’t odd for them to wait until it airs to say anything about it.
Family friend Kendra Pollard is speaking out about this new show. Kendra is known for speaking to the press about the Brown family and what is going on with them.
She said, “He came up with the idea for a series featuring other polygamous husbands coming to his rescue and saving his reputation.”
Kendra shared that Kody Brown has already shot a pilot for the show but didn’t share if TLC was involved in this part or not.
According to Kendra, in October Kody Brown was told that this season of Sister Wives might end up being the last one. She says that Kody Brown admitted they had made mistakes and then pitched this idea for the new show. She said that TLC loved the idea and is excited about it. The Browns obviously need the money from a television series, and if they lose Sister Wives, they will need to figure out something else.
She shared saying that Kody Brown got Brady Williams, star of TLC’s My Five Wives, and Nathan Collier, who has appeared on Sister Wives, to do the new one with him. The fans have missed seeing Brady since his reality series was canceled by TLC.
Right now, Sister Wives is airing a new season, which will show Maddie Brown’s wedding to Caleb Brush. Last week, everyone saw that Mykelti Brown is now also engaged. If the show wasn’t renewed for another season, then the viewers might never get to see her wedding, which isn’t what they want at all. As the Brown children continue to get older, there will be more weddings and babies coming that fans of the show want to see.
People also shared that something interesting is going on with the Brown family that everyone wants to see. Janelle and Meri Brown have had problems getting along for years, and they have been going to counseling together.
Recently, Janelle talked about how their counselor thought they should go on a camping trip together saying, “The idea of going away on a camping trip for a couple of days, it’s emotionally terrifying to me too because we don’t even ride in the same car when we come [to therapy]. That’s just way too exposed — way too uncomfortable.”
Meri Brown wasn’t ready to go camping right away either. She shared saying, “I think Janelle and I would enjoy camping, but it’s so far out of the boxes we’ve created for ourselves. We’re not quite ready for that yet.”
If the series Sister Wives didn’t come back for another season, then viewers would never get the chance to see how Meri and Janelle are doing. Meri and Kody Brown are also going through a hard time right now, and fans hope to see if they can work through it all or not.
