Lisa Vanderpump On ‘RHOBH’ Return: ‘I Had No Alternative But Join The Group’

Lisa Vanderpump may have been hesitant to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 7 based on how the last season of the show concluded. Lisa was under attack for being a fake and calculated friend and she clearly wasn’t happy with the reputation she was getting. But Lisa decided to return to the show with her friend Dorit Kemsley along for the ride. And it didn’t take long for Erika Girardi to reach out to Vanderpump with a party invitation. But when Lisa got to the party, she immediately felt that she had no choice but to bond with the ladies, even though they had been mean to her last year.

According to a new Bravo report, Lisa Vanderpump is already making some digs at her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars, possibly because they didn’t give her an apology. Her co-stars probably don’t think that they need to give her an apology, but Vanderpump may feel that an apology is in order based on what went down last year. And it sounds like she was surprised when she got a phone call to come to Erika Girardi’s party.

“When Erika called me and invited me to her party, I responded positively, and she included Dorit as I was having lunch with her at the time. Time is the best healer as the old adage goes, but when Kyle states once again that I hold a grudge, it seems that maybe she has little understanding of the experience last year,” Lisa Vanderpump explains in her Bravo blog for the show, revealing that she did want to attend with a positive attitude.

But it sounds like she hasn’t forgotten what Kyle Richards did last year in regards to their friendship. Vanderpump felt very betrayed and while she could move on with Erika because they were not close friends, she did have her guard up when seeing Kyle again. And Lisa wants everyone to know that she remembers who people are when they attack her.

“I believe when somebody shows you who they are and viciously attacks you, relentlessly, you have good reason to remember, to embrace those feelings of trepidation in regard to bonding with that person again. That is not ‘holding a grudge,’ it is protecting yourself from the emotional lambasting I had endured from happening again…,” Lisa Vanderpump explains in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Many people see Lisa Vanderpump as a very strong and opinionated woman. She has gotten far in life for doing things her way and not taking advice from people, who may have an opinion about how she should run her life, her restaurants, and her success. So it’s interesting that Lisa points out that she didn’t have a choice in joining the group once again. If she really didn’t want to be there, one can imagine she had the power and free will to walk out of the party.

“I had no alternative but join the group. I briefly engaged Rinna, who I believe not to be ‘manipulable’ as Kyle alleges. I would argue the point that she is an erratic woman that needs to take responsibility for her own behavior. I am at a point with her where I can’t resist a little provocation,” Lisa points out, sharing that she didn’t exactly feel that she had a choice in how she bonded with the ladies when she decided to attend Erika’s party.

What do you think of Lisa Vanderpump’s comment that she had no choice to be included in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills group once again?
