Josh Murray Says His Relationship With Amanda Stanton Is Stronger Than Ever Despite ‘BIP’ Breakup Rumors
Josh Murray is talking about his future with his Bachelor in Paradise girlfriend, Amanda Stanton. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Murray, who found love with Stanton on the ABC reality show, Bachelor in Paradise, said his relationship with the mom of two is still going strong despite rumors to the contrary.
“We’re enjoying life, enjoying the kids and having a good time,” Josh told ET. “We love each other. We’re having a great time.”
Amanda added that while she and Josh have “been through a lot in the past couple of months,” the challenges have only made their relationship stronger and they are both “really happy” following their engagement on the ABC reality show.
“I tried to stay away from social media and what everybody says,” Murray said of the couple’s portrayal on BiP. “The way everything was portrayed, it made [our relationship] seem like it was bad… so we understand people’s concerns, but there’s no concern for us. Hopefully, people see how we are in real life, and we’re having a great time.”
After Bachelor in Paradise wrapped earlier this summer, Josh Murray relocated from Atlanta, Georgia, to Stanton’s Orange County, Calif. home. Josh and Amanda are frequently photographed doing family things with her two young daughters, Kinsley, four, and Charlie, two, and in October, the mom of two even shared a Snapchat of her and Josh house hunting in California.
In the ET interview, Murray said he and his fiancee are still talking about their wedding and are “hopefully planning a date soon.” Josh also added that they are planning a big family get-together for the holidays as his clan travels to Orange County to celebrate with them.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Josh told ET. “[It’s] my family’s first time kind of traveling for the holidays to the west coast… they love Amanda and the kids.”
But while it all sounds good for Josh and Amanda, Bachelor blogger Reality Steve says there is trouble in paradise. The spoiler king has revealed that Murray and Stanton have actually called it quits but just haven’t announced it publicly yet. According to Steve’s sources, Josh has moved to a hotel as they wait until after the holidays to announce their breakup.
TMZ recently reported that Josh and Amanda bring in a hefty combined income due to endorsement opportunities they’ve received since they appeared together on Bachelor in Paradise, so that could be another reason why they’re keeping their alleged split on the down low for now.
If the Josh and Amanda breakup rumors are true, it would be the second Bachelor in Paradise split this month. Just last week, Murray and Stanton’s Paradise co-stars, Grant Kemp and Lace Morris, announced they have gone their separate ways.
Stanton has been vocal about the fact that she wasn’t expecting to find love on reality TV, and many were surprised that she hooked up with Murray, who was previously engaged to Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman and subsequently dissed in her tell-all book, It’s Not Okay. In a blog post shortly after her BiP engagement, Amanda wrote about her relationship Josh Murray.
“Going on the show, I was hoping (but not expecting) to find someone, not to complete me, but to add more love and happiness to mine and the girls lives. I found that with Josh!” she wrote. “He truly loves Kinsley and Charlie like they’re his own and they adore him right back. He is hands down the most loving, patient and understanding person I have ever met.”
And Josh has been just as positive about his reality TV romance. Shortly after he proposed to his BiP co-star on a beach in Mexico, Murray told Us Weekly their relationship was amazing.
“I 100 percent believe that Amanda is somebody I could spend the rest of my life with,” Murray said at the time.
