Perrie Edwards Talks Zayn Breakup And Major Life Changes

Perrie Edwards is on a diet, but it’s not the kind that you think. Sure, the Little Mix singer is incredibly fit these days. The blonde pop tart often posts photos of herself wearing bikinis and crop tops on social media. But the singer is opening up a different kind of diet, according to a report via The Sun.

Perrie Edwards jokingly admitted that she “loves a break-up diet” when bandmate Jesy Nelson admitted they both felt “caged” in their relationships. Edwards and Nelson recently have gotten out of relationships. Nelson and Rixton frontman Jake Roche ended their engagement last month, while Edwards’ wedding to Zayn Malik was called off in late August 2015.

In a recent interview, the Little Mix singers were asked who would be the one who would eat a pint of ice cream and who would hit the gym after a split.

“Me and Leigh-Anne are more exercise, these two are the ice cream,” Jesy Nelson told New Magazine, referring to Jade Thirwall and Edwards.

Edwards laughed and responded, “Actually… yeah.”

However, Jade stated that all four of them handle themselves whenever they end a relationship.

“Don’t you think whenever we end up a relationship, we all get quite hot bodies? I do say so myself. I feel like whenever one of us splits from someone, we always have a post break-up glow going on.”

“Everyone loves a break-up diet,” Perrie confirmed.

Jesy and Perrie both agreed that they felt “caged” in their past relationships. It all started when Jade said that the two gals have enjoyed going out and partying after their recent splits.

“Oi, oi, oi! We never used to be like that,” Perrie admitted.

“We were caged!” Jesy responded.

“We were! We all take turns,” Perrie said.

Rumors have been circulating that Jesy and Jake ended their relationship, and Perrie was the first one to confirm it, according to MTV UK. The singer took to Snapchat to share a clip of some toys while saying, “When single life got you like…the three amigos always and forever – plus Jade and Jed.”

According to the outlet, the three toys represent three of the singers – Perrie, Leigh-Anne, and Jesy. Jesy and Jake dated for 18 months until they called it quits weeks ago, according to an inside source who told The Sun.

“Their relationship became strained and they grew apart. They started rowing and it became too much.”

Fans started talking when they noticed that Jesy’s engagement ring was missing during recent public appearances. In addition, the two musicians unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to the rumors. Now, Perrie has officially confirmed that the beloved couple is over.

Perrie Edwards revealed in another interview that she has often helped fans who have recently gotten out of their own relationships. While speaking to the Daily Star, Edwards admitted that most of them have come to her for advice after her public split from Malik.

“So many people approach me at nightclubs saying, ‘You changed my life, I’ve never felt better’ or ‘I got dumped two weeks ago and your song makes me feel great.'”

The “Shout Out To My Ex” singer admits that she feels good helping other girls get through heartbreak. She then revealed that even their male fans play Little Mix’s songs on repeat to help them get over their exes. It makes total sense since Little Mix’s new album, Glory Days, and their former release, Get Weird, have plenty of sad ballads and breakup anthems that would help fans get through their awful relationships.

It looks like 2017 will be all about the single Little Mix ladies. The girls are still living high off the success of their new album and will be embarking on their world tour and then will join Ariana Grande on the U.S. leg of her Dangerous Woman Tour.
