Prince Harry’s Awkward Caribbean Trip Goes From Bad To Worse

Prince Harry is one awkward prince, according to E! Online. The 32-year-old prince had a rather awkward visit to the Caribbean, but at least the purpose of his visit was not so awkward.

While in Grenada, Prince Harry announced nine scholarships, the recipients of which will go for six weeks to the royal family’s Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. The awkwardness started when the royal flag flew off a mast attached to his Land Rover as he arrived in Guyana.

Then Gaston Browne, Antigua and Barbuda’s prime minister, made Prince Harry blush with his comments about a honeymoon. It all happened during a reception in Antigua held in Harry’s honor.

It was an embarrassing moment for Prince Harry because the prime minister started talking about how great it would be for the prince and his girlfriend Meghan Markle to spend their honeymoon in Antigua and Barbuda.

“I understand that there may be a new addition to the royal family very soon. I am told that there may be a princess, and I just want to say that should you make the decision to honeymoon, then Antigua and Barbuda want to welcome you.”

A foreign prince arriving in St. Kitts and Nevis is apparently tough business. When Prince Harry arrived in his fast fleet tanker in St. Kitts and Nevis early in the morning, there was no one there to meet and greet him.

But Prince Harry’s awkward journey on board the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Wave Knight was far from over. The fast fleet tanker broke down at the port in Saint Vincent due to a technical fault.

Prince Harry also mourned a dictator during his trip. During a drinks reception, the prince participated in an impromptu minute’s silence for late Cuban leader Fidel Castro, who’s often referred to as one of the most famous dictators in the world.

When Prince Harry was pinning a British Empire Medal onto the chest of a retired farmer, it suddenly dropped to the floor. The whole thing took place during a reception in Grenada, and the prince had to pick up the medal from the floor.

Even Prince Harry feels awkward when someone is drawing his portraits. Although the prince is no stranger to having his picture drawn, there was something incredibly bizarre about a local artist in Grand Anse beach drawing the prince’s portrait.

Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has recently spotted out shopping for groceries, according to the Mirror. The 35-year-old actress went make-up free to stock up on groceries in a Toronto supermarket.

Even though she’s the girlfriend of Prince Harry, Markle wasn’t accompanied by anyone and opted for a casual look: green parka, flat pumps, and jeans. The actress, who’s currently filming the new series of drama Suits in California, had six bags of goods in her cart.

While Prince Harry was a few thousand miles away, Markle made a run for groceries and bought kitchen roll and various vegetables. The prince returned from his 15-day Caribbean tour back to the U.K. on Sunday.

It’s not the first time Markle has been spotted out shopping. Last month, the actress was seen shopping in High Street Kensington London.

Prince Harry confirmed he was dating Markle last month. In his November statement issued to the media confirming he’s dating the actress, the royal said he was worried about his girlfriend’s safety since she’s been subjected to a “wave of abuse and harassment.”

Prince Harry and Markle have reportedly been dating for three months now, and the prince even introduced the actress to his father, Prince Charles.
