‘This Is Us’ Star Chrissy Metz Has Found Love, Says He Is Her ‘Sweet Treat’

Actress Chrissy Metz is having an amazing year, and it’s looking like 2017 will be even better both personally and professionally. Chrissy has been soaring to the top as people continue to fall in love with her character Kate Pearson on the hit drama This is Us. Fans are also falling in love with Chrissy herself because of her amazingly positive outlook on body image and life. Not only is Chrissy’s professional life taking flight, but her personal life is as well. Chrissy has shared just recently that she has a new love interest in her life.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Metz, who revealed she is happy and is already making plans to celebrate the holiday season with her new beau. Chrissy had the following to say about her new love interest, “He’s not an actor, but he is a sweet treat and he’s wonderful.” Metz went on to say, “It’s new, but I will be kissing him under the mistletoe.”

Chrissy would not reveal who her new man is, but she did say they met through a friend when This is Us was just beginning. Metz shared he does work in the entertainment industry, but he is behind the scenes. People shared that Metz is grateful her new love bloomed on its own and not because of her fame. Metz said, “It wasn’t like they came out of the woodworks just because I’m on the show. It was just organic, and I’m grateful for that because I know it’s difficult to be dating and in the spotlight and having things change.”

Chrissy and her boyfriend have been together about four months according to Metz. When asked if she was in love, Chrissy replied, “You know what? I think I am. It’s such a blessing — really it is. It really is.”

For the time being, Metz is keeping a pretty tight reign on what she is willing to reveal about her boyfriend’s identity. Metz simply said, “Here’s the thing, like, he needs to have his own life. I don’t want him roped into mine, so I just want to protect him. My little sweet treat.” If things continue to go great for the new couple, perhaps Chrissy will start giving fans some more juicy details about this lucky man.

Fans first learned of Chrissy’s new love interest not too long ago when she spoke with People and shared she was dating someone, but keeping it private. Metz said, “No matter what size I’ve been, I’ve never had issues dating.” Chrissy goes on to say, “I’ve found really wonderful men, and I do believe that like attracts like. It’s one of those things where if you’re secure and you’re happy mostly, you find really wonderful people who come into your life.” Chrissy is beautiful, and her positive attitude radiates to all who see her.

Hopefully, as her relationship continues to progress, both Chrissy and her boyfriend will be more comfortable opening up to her devoted fans. In the meantime, fans won’t want to miss another emotional, drama-filled episode of This is Us tonight. The episode will center around Christmas, and fans everywhere are speculating about what twists and turns may pop up. One thing is certain, and that is you will not want to miss it.

Metz appeared on The Talk yesterday where she teased a little about Tuesday night’s fall finale of This is Us. Chrissy would not give anything away, but she did warn fans to have tissues ready. Metz said she would even need tissues, and she knows what happens!
