Amber Portwood Calls Out MTV For Editing Out Important Parts Of ‘Teen Mom OG’ Brawl
Amber Portwood went after Farrah Abraham last night on the Teen Mom OG reunion special. It was an event that fans had been anticipating for weeks. The news of the brawl broke over the weekend the show was filmed, and their feud spilled over onto social media. Portwood has been talking about quitting the show because of the editing that is done and after watching last night, she is fed up. Fans watched an intense confrontation, one that could have been much worse had the MTV team not intervened.
During the first part of the Teen Mom OG reunion, Amber Portwood put Farrah Abraham on blast. She told Dr. Drew Pinsky how she felt regarding her co-star and urged him to not allow her to get away with the stunts she regularly pulls. As the altercation aired and the stars were on social media addressing it, things got heated once again.
According to the Hollywood Gossip, Amber Portwood called out MTV for editing out crucial points in the brawl with Farrah Abraham. She cursed the network and drew support from Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry.
After the show aired, the conversation on social media was still going. Amber Portwood was telling fans that the part where Farrah Abraham’s father called her a “b**ch” and was in her face was edited out. That is the point where Matt Baier decided to step in, and only then. While Farrah disputes that is how it went down, as does Simon Saran, Portwood is sticking to her claims. Because everyone was tweeting, there was a lot of shade thrown from both sides. Abraham shaded Amber by saying she was too short to actually hit her.
While some may feel like the Teen Mom OG cast is in shambles, they remained united for the most part. Amber Portwood has always been one to take up for Farrah Abraham when the other girls were struggling with having issues concerning what she chose to do with her body. During the reunion show, Maci Bookout called out the network for catering to Farrah and her fits. Bookout explained that she was called in to film early because Abraham didn’t want to do her part. With all of that, Maci, Catelynn Lowell, and Portwood walked off the stage without final comments, and just like that, the show was over.
Viewers have been calling for Farrah Abraham to be reprimanded by the network for quite some time. Amber Portwood blasted her for the treatment of MTV staff, and who could forget her physical altercation with Larry the producer? In fact, fans are calling Abraham out for dissing Portwood for confronting her when she was the one who was violent with a producer. The hypocrisy among the stars of the show is real and entertaining. Portwood likely would have thrown punches had she had access to Abraham, but the security team did a great job keeping the girls apart.
It will be interesting to see where things go from here for Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham. Their friendship is beyond repair and neither girl seems too disappointed with that. Teen Mom OG was slated to move forward, but now, no one is sure of what is happening. Portwood doesn’t want to return because she feels disrespected by the editing that happened, and Abraham doesn’t want to participate due to the fact her life could be in danger. It is unclear whether or not contracts were signed for another season and how all of that will work after what happened at the reunion. Amber Portwood isn’t one who will back down, and if she is serious about not returning to Teen Mom OG, the show may not continue.
