Champions League Preview, PSG Vs. Ludogorets: Prediction, Starting Lineups, Betting Tips, and Live Stream

Match Preview

French champions PSG will host Ludogorets in match-day six of UEFA Champions League at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

A win for Paris Saint-Germain will help them claim the top spot in Group A, while a win for Ludogorets will confirm their qualification for the knockout stage of the Europa League.

PSG is currently occupying the first place in the Champions League Group A with 11 points. Another Group A member Arsenal also possesses equal points, but a better head-to-head record means the Paris club has an edge.

A draw also will be enough for Paris Saint-Germain claim the top spot if Arsenal fails to win against Basel in another match of the group.

PSG fell to a demoralizing 3-0 loss against Montpellier on Saturday. The defending Ligue 1 champions have not-so-encouraging domestic campaign so far, and they reside in the third place in the league table.

On the contrary, Arsenal won the London derby game against rivals West Ham quite convincingly. The Gunners won the game 5-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez.

It is likely that Arsenal will win against Basel, so PSG has no room for error in this crucial clash.

One of the major concerns for PSG this season is the form of Angel di Maria. The Argentine is having a poor season by his usual standard, and prior to this game, manager Unai Emery had to defend di Maria’s performance, as reported by ESPN.

“He is an important player.

“He has also put in some good performances this season.

“We want to help him to rebuild his confidence but there is work to be done on that front.”

Brazilian duo Marquinhos and Thiago Silva are one booking away from a ban. So the pair has to be careful throughout this match as they could miss an important match in the round of 16, if they pick up another caution against Ludogorets.

Defensive midfielder Adrien Rabiot is not available for Paris SG, nor is Javier Pastore, who is still recovering from a knee problem.

Experienced midfielder Thiago Motta has a calf problem, and he is a major doubt for this Tuesday’s clash against Ludogorets.

Right-back Serge Aurier missed the clash against Arsenal a fortnight ago, but he is available for this match.
