Mary Mary Make Billboard Chart Records With “God In Me”

New York, NY (CNS) – Two-time Grammy Award-winning duo Mary Mary now holds the record for the longest climb on Billboard’s top 10 as their single “God in Me” jumped from 11 to 10 in its 42nd week on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
The track is also celebrating its 7th consecutive week at the no.1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart.
“The Sound,” which carries “God in Me,” occupied the top spot for more than six months since its October 2008 release and was also no.1 for 15 consecutive weeks from April 19. It spent four weeks at no.1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
Mary Mary – consisting of sisters Erica and Tina Campbell – performed “God in Me” with Queen Latifah at the 2008 BET Awards, where they have been named Best Gospel Artist for this year.
