Detroit, MI — The sexting judge has been officially rebuked by court officials for being out of order.

Wade H. McCree, the Detroit judge who sent a shirtless photo of himself to a female court officer, has been publicly reprimanded by the Michigan Supreme Court. Judge McCree agreed to the public censure.

As The Inquisitrpreviously reported, when confronted about the image back in April by a local Fox TV reporter, Judge McCree famously said “Hot dog … I’ve got no shame in my game.”

The Michigan Supreme Court was less than impressed, however, with the judge’s game, particular his general behavior in the sexting incident and his specific demeanor in that particular TV interview.

The public censure issued by the court does not carry any apparent penalties other than the effects on the judge’s professional reputation, so some might argue that it’s just a slap on the wrist.

In going along with the findings of the state’s Judicial Tenure Commission, the state’s highest court, in its written decision, stated that Judge McCree, among other things violated various standards of judicial conduct through misconduct in office, failure to live up to the high standards of the Michigan judiciary, and irresponsible conduct that “exposes the legal profession or the courts to obloquy, contempt, censure, or reproach.”

Oloquy is something along the lines of disgrace or discredit.

The judge did formally apologize once the digital image and the accompanying Fox interview made the rounds of the internet.

The court order also notes that the bailiff in question apparently “retained the digital image as inspiration to motivate her to improve her workouts and eating habits,” but her husband — who blew the whistle on the sexting judge — told Fox TV (see video below) that the image wrecked their marriage.

Judge McCree serves on the 3rd Circuit Court in Detroit and apparently will continue to do so. As previously reported, Judge MCree specializes in sex misconduct cases.
