Jana Duggar Labors For The Duggars As ‘Jill And Jessa Counting On’ Reports News Of Jinger’s Wedding And Growing Family

Jana Duggar is the only female Duggar over the age of 20 who has not started her own family. So it’s natural that she is picking up a lot of responsibilities around the house, including taking care of new family members and decking out the Duggar’s mansion in time for Christmas. With someone like Jana around, the Duggars must feel very supported despite all the changes the clan is going through.

Now that December is upon them, the Duggar family is quickly transforming their living spaces to welcome the holiday season. To start, they had Jana decorate the front gates right after Thanksgiving so that their home looked more festive.

Especially after Jinger’s wedding in November, there has not been a lot of older Duggars to help her out in household work. The only girl who is old enough to help in any substantial way is Joy-Anna, who just started courting Austin Forsythe.

But there are plenty of boys to help Jana with the labor. Joseph and Josiah are not courting anyone, and since they are from a very traditional family, it’s likely that they will not start courting until they are much older.

With some of the kids getting married and starting their own families, the Duggars have added a new member to their clan.

“The 19 Kids and Counting stars have been granted permanent custody of their 8-year-old great-nephew, Tyler Wayne Hutchins,” reports AOL. “According to court documents obtained by ET, the Duggars were granted temporary guardianship after filing an emergency petition on Aug. 26, and the guardianship was made permanent on Nov. 21.”

It is indeed a time of transition for the Duggar family. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have stopped having children of their own and are now putting that focus on their married kids. With the holidays upon them, they have gotten a little bit more wistful of their growing children, filling their Instagram with pictures of their older kids.

As for Jana, she does not seem like she is in any rush to tie the knot. In the past, there have been rumors of various suitors, but that has faded with time.

“Jana didn’t name her suitors, but she has been attached to several men,” reports Yahoo Sports. “Not only was she infamously linked to former NFL star Tim Tebow in 2014 (a claim her cousin vehemently denied on her behalf), she was also said to have once had a failed romance with a fellow reality star. In 2015 it was reported that Jana turned down advances from family friend and now-married ‘Bringing Up Bates’ star Zach Bates after having ‘secret chaperoned dates.'”

The 26-year-old Duggar has said herself that she is waiting until the moment and the person is right to consider a wedding.

“There have been different guys who have come along and asked, but they haven’t been, I don’t know, the right one,” she revealed, according to Radar Online. “It can be tempting, like, ‘Oh, I really want to be married,’ because in those moments, your siblings that are married and have little ones are going on dates and doing their thing. It’s like this weird in-between stage. I’m not a younger one, but I’m not an older, married one with kids.”

Seeing how all her younger sisters jumped into marriage, with courting and engagement periods not lasting more than two years tops, it looks like she is more cautious about making such a big decision.
