SPOILER ALERT: This article discusses Episode 12 of Season 4 of History Channel’s Vikings. Please proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.

In the Season 4, Part 2 premiere of History’s Vikings, Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) tried everything within his power to get his family and friends to voyage with him to England so he could finally confront King Ecbert (Linus Roache) about the Viking village he destroyed in a previous season of Vikings.

Ragnar may have struggled to find people to travel with him, but his crippled son, Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh), eventually joined him. Episode 12 of Vikings will deal with Ragnar trying to gather a crew to accompany him and his son on their journey, according to the Episode 12 synopsis.

The synopsis for Episode 12 (entitled “The Vision”) of Season 4, Part 2 of Vikings is below.

“The Kattegat locals chide Ragnar that the gods have deserted him as he struggles to crew his voyage to Wessex. It’s Bjorn who has charisma now as he prepares to fulfill his long-held dream to explore the Mediterranean in a sleek new boat built for him by Floki. By contrast, Ragnar must accept weathered boats and a crew he has bribed but when Aslaug foresees that the fleet will be lost in a vicious storm her warnings go un-heeded by Ragnar and her precious son, Ivar.”

Along with the struggle to crew his ships, Ragnar’s wife, Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), predicts the voyage will be a disaster. In the past, Aslaug has had visions in relation to Ragnar and his rule, so it seems likely this vision is also true. However, it could also be a ploy to keep her precious son, Ivar, at home and safe.

Along with the synopsis for Episode 12 of Vikings, the following trailer has been released.

The Episode 12 clip shows that the promised clash revealed in a recent interview with Showbiz Junkies between Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Aslaug is approaching with Lagertha throwing down the towel and claiming to Aslaug that she “will never be queen of Kattegat.”

As Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) gets ready to set sail for the Mediterranean, it seems Episode 12 of Vikings will see the return of Harald Finehair (Peter Franzen) and his brother, Halfdan the Black (Jasper Pääkkönen), as they join Bjorn on his journey. Viewers, however, are reminded that Harald has a secondary agenda in regard to Kattegat. That agenda, sees him wanting to become the supreme ruler of all Norway. Of course, if that is to happen, Harald will have to overthrow Ragnar. While Harald assures Bjorn that it would be hard to defeat Ragnar, it is possible he is only saying this because he plans to travel with Bjorn to the Mediterranean first.

While the synopsis for Episode 12 of Vikings does not indicate if Aslaug was right about her vision, the trailer certainly reveals Ragnar and Ivar getting caught in a storm. Whether this is the storm she predicted is unclear and viewers will have to tune into Episode 12 to find out what happens to Ragnar and Ivar as they travel across the sea to England.
