Scheana Shay Divorce: Lisa Vanderpump Shares Her Feelings
Scheana Shay is headed for divorce from her husband, Mike Shay. For fans of Vanderpump Rules, this isn’t a huge shock, but for people close to the couple, it definitely was a little surprising. The two have known each other for over a decade, but have only been married for a little over two years. Marriage isn’t easy, and the first few years are the hardest. The Shays have no children, but there is speculation that the divorce will still be messy.
Vanderpump Rules filmed the wedding of Scheana and Mike Shay. It was extravagant and everyone was invited to join in on their special day. Lisa Vanderpump is the queen of the show and also someone who is very close to Scheana. Before she married Mike, there were things she didn’t know. Unfortunately, much of it was discovered after their vows and Shay did whatever she could to help her husband, but it just wasn’t enough. According to All About the Tea, Lisa Vanderpump commented on Scheana Shay and her impending divorce at a recent event. In fact, she talked highly of her and was saddened by the news of a split.
Last month, Mike Shay reportedly went missing for several days and allegedly cleaned out Scheana’s bank account. This wasn’t shocking given Mike’s history of pain pill addiction, but he had been sober for over a year at that point. Lisa Vanderpump watched as Scheana was faced with having to have an intervention for her husband. Shay didn’t tell her about his addiction until after they were married, and at that point, it had been almost a decade-long problem. All of this went down with an audience and Vanderpump admitted that she initially felt sorry for Mike, but then she found out he married Scheana without telling her the whole truth.
Lisa Vanderpump has always had a soft spot for Scheana Shay. The two have known each other for several years, as Shay has been employed by Vanderpump for quite some time. She has even crossed over to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills world where Lisa has a main role as well. Shay was a server at an event on one of the seasons and there was tension galore. Brandi Glanville has made it known that her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, cheated on her several times. Scheana Shay was one of the women who came up as being with Glanville’s ex-husband while they were married. It is one of the huge points of contention between Brandi and Lisa.
It has been confirmed that Scheana Shay will be filming for Vanderpump Rules while the divorce is happening. A new season is currently airing on Bravo and the film crew has already begun filming specifically for this reason. Lisa Vanderpump also mentioned that fans will be able so see some things that lead up to the split of Scheana and Mike on the show. The petition for divorce states that the couple separated on November 9, which is roughly around the time Shay went missing. No other information has been leaked, but the Shays did release a joint statement saying their were separated amicably and will be moving forward as friends.
As the weeks progress, Scheana Shay and her marital issues will be making more headlines. There is a lot of speculation out there surrounding the true cause of the split, but nothing has been confirmed other than Scheana was the one to file for divorce. Rumors of Mike’s addiction being the cause have circulated, but nothing has actually been addressed yet. Scheana Shay is attempting to move on with her life and the next few months are going to be some of the hardest she will have to face.
