Madonna Bashes Donald Trump, Says She’s ‘Ashamed To Be An American’ At Miami Benefit Show [Video]

Madonna was more than her over-the-top self during a Miami benefit concert event on Friday night. The concert was all about raising money for Malawi, the African nation from where Madonna adopted her son, David, over a decade ago. In all, Madonna managed to raise $7.5 million for Malawi in Miami, but not without some serious (and sometimes seriously offensive) words and hijinks.

The majority of the money came by way of auction; Madonna sold a ton of her own personal stuff, including art, a concert costume, and even some 1985 black and white wedding photos snapped by deceased photog Herb Ritts. The groom alongside Madonna in the pics? None other than the infamous Sean Penn, who was helping out ex-wife Madonna at the charity show. In all, the wedding photos went for $230, 000, while Sean and Madonna hammed it up for those in attendance, reports Fox News.

Indeed, Sean Penn really seemed to get into the act, crawling between Madonna’s legs and even handcuffing his ex-wife in an effort to raise more money for her Raising Malawi Foundation.

“For once, he’s not the one being arrested.”

Sean Penn wasn’t the only famous face in the crowd – far from it. He was, however, the only ex-husband that Madonna brought to the bash. Also in attendance were Courtney Love, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Alex Rodriguez (sure, A-Rod is a Madonna ex, but the pair never tied the knot).

Madonna spent a good portion of the fundraiser talking (sometimes tasteless) trash about President-elect Donald Trump. In fact, she addressed a lot of things about the recent election, including her offer to perform oral sex on people who voted for Clinton. When it came to Trump, though, Madonna really got raunchy.

She told the Miami audience that, once upon a time, she’d been in Trump’s bed, reports AP. Then, Madonna made it clear that the PEOTUS hadn’t been in his bed at the same time; she was there for a photo shoot. Madonna also added that Trump’s bed sheets were “cheap,” before launching into an anti-Trump attack that shocked and brought audible gasps from the audience.

“They won’t be Egyptian cotton because we all know how he feels about Muslims don’t we?”

From the sound of the audience’s reaction, not everyone in attendance felt like Madonna was speaking in good taste, regardless of the venue.

In a continued attack on Trump, Madonna bashed him while singing and dancing to the Britney Spears hit “Toxic.” As the 58-year-old performer (decked out in pink sequins and fishnets) gyrated, belted out the familiar words, “You know that you’re toxic.” While Madonna sang and danced, various photos of Donald Trump flashed in the background.

Other notable points of the hour-long “performance” included Madonna giving lap dances and kissing much-younger artist Ariana Grande. It wasn’t the first time that Madonna has kissed a young female artist.

During the show, Madonna also lamented her “very single” status and lack of a sex life. She told a captive audience that she hadn’t had sex in a “long time.”

Madonna was joined at the event by her 11-year-old adopted Malawian son, David, who introduced his Material Mom at the $5,000-per-plate benefit concert event. When Madonna adopted David, he wasn’t much more than a newborn, and during the show, he acknowledged his good fortune in being chosen by Madonna.

“I realize I’m one of the lucky ones.”

Reportedly, half of Malawi’s population is under 15 years of age, and many are largely (if not wholly) dependent on aid for survival, let alone advancement; the plight in the country is why Madonna got involved. It has been reported that before she adopted her son, Madonna didn’t even know where Malawi was.

Perhaps one of the most impassioned and controversial moments of the night came when Madonna addressed the ongoing struggles of the Native American community, specifically the events of Standing Rock. According to Madonna, the situation makes her feel ashamed.

“Madonna said, ‘It just really makes me feel ashamed, ashamed to be an American, ashamed to be a human being really.'”

What do you think about Madonna’s Friday performance in Miami? Do you agree with the Material Girl’s shocking show and even more shocking words? What are your thoughts on the Madonna Raising Malawi Foundation?
