Is Kate Middleton Pregnant? Duchess Kate Misses Charity Gala, Sparking Rumors Of Another Pregnancy

Kate Middleton may be pregnant again, one report claims after Duchess Kate was strangely absent from a charity gala that benefits one of her favorite causes.

The Gala Dinner for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices Nook Appeal was held this week, an event where many expected to see Duchess Kate making an appearance. After all, she has served as Royal Patron for the charity and attends other charity events for her pet causes.

Instead, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted that Kate Middleton had to cancel at the last minute, which the report speculated was a strong sign that Duchess Kate is pregnant again.

“Many sources think that Kate’s sudden disappearance might be because the Duchess is expecting another child with her husband, Prince William. During her pregnancies with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate was forced to cancel several events because of her extreme hyperemesis gravidarum. Her condition was so severe that the Duchess was forced to stay on bed rest for the first trimester during both of her pregnancies.”

There was no official explanation as to why Kate Middleton missed out on the charity gala, but the mother of two young children hasn’t been entirely absent from the public eye. Just days before the gala, she and Prince William showed up to pay their respects for the departed Duke of Westminster.

The couple was among close to 2,000 royal family members and other dignitaries to pay respects to Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, the Mirror reported.

While the missed charity gala could be a sign that Kate Middleton is pregnant and ailing once again, the track record among celebrity gossip outlets claiming a third royal baby is not very good. Celeb Dirty Laundry has been one of the worst offenders, publishing stories almost weekly claiming that Duchess Kate is expecting another baby.

There have been other rumors of a royal pregnancy debunked in recent days, including one started by the National Enquirer and filtered to other online news outlets claiming that Kate Middleton had been pregnant with twins but suffered a miscarriage.

The site Gossip Cop, which debunks false stories regarding celebrities, cited a source close to the couple who claimed that Duchess Kate was never pregnant in the first place.

“But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that nothing about the tabloid’s story is remotely true,” the report noted.

“We’re told Middleton was never pregnant with twin girls, she never suffered a miscarriage, and her marriage to Prince William isn’t in trouble.”

There is other evidence that another royal pregnancy is unlikely. As the original Celeb Dirty Laundry report noted, Duchess Kate suffered debilitating illness with her first two pregnancies that left her bed-ridden at times. And up until this date, she has been able to make appearances while looking quite healthy.

And other royal pregnancy rumors have been debunked by Duchess Kate herself, including back in September when she was spotted sipping whiskey.

Others have noted that while Kate Middleton may not be pregnant now, she hopes to be very soon. Some sources close to the royal couple have said that she and Prince William do have plans for a third child.

“[Kate & William] want a third baby soon,” a family friend told UsWeekly magazine.

“It would not surprise me if they were pregnant by Christmas.”

For her part, Kate Middleton has never addressed rumors that she is pregnant, which seems a sensible policy given that it would require her to speak out almost every week to squash rumors.
