Kanye West Breakdown: Meds Issue And Kim Kardashian’s Robbery Contributed To Hospitalization

Kanye West was released from the hospital last Wednesday but that doesn’t mean that all is well with him, at least not yet.

In fact, TMZ reports that Kanye West needs his meds more than ever, on account of the fact that his mental collapse occurred right after he stopped taking them. And now as an outpatient, West was advised by his doctor to take his meds on a regular basis in order to prevent another mental breakdown.

According to sources close to the Kardashian family, Kanye West has long suffered from psychological issues, and the only way he was able to keep them in check is through medications. Sources claim that West had been taking his meds quite regularly, and that his mental health only started to take a turn for the worse when he started deviating from the prescribed dosage.

Sources add that the last few weeks had been emotional for the rapper due to the pressures of touring, the demands of his businesses, the need to support Kim through the accompanying trauma of being robbed and held at gunpoint in Paris last month, and “shocking” lack of sleep.

But West reportedly reached his breaking point on the day of his mom Donda’s memorial, according to Mirror.

According to TMZ, West stopped taking his meds not long after Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery occurred. The incident in Paris had been so traumatic to Ms. Kardashian that she decided not to go with her husband on his “Saint Pablo” U.S. tour. West, who has gotten used to always having his wife Kim around in his previous concert tours, didn’t take this well. Kim, on the other hand, had a difficult time coping with the trauma of the Paris incident without her husband around. The situation was so bad for the couple that it reportedly took a toll on Kanye’s mental health, and that in turn took a toll on their marriage.

“It’s just been hell for them,” a source told Us Weekly in the mag’s latest issue. “Kanye’s behavior took a huge toll on their marriage. But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.”

US Weekly reports that Kanye West is living separately from his wife and their kids after his hospitalization. An insider claimed that the “Famous” rapper is being treated as an outpatient in a rental house while the verdict is still out on his mental health.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kanye West was hospitalized on November 21 due to exhaustion, not long after he called out Beyonce and Jay-Z during a tour stop in Sacramento. Before long, he cancelled the 21 remaining concerts in his “Saint Pablo Tour.”

Kim Kardashian has rarely left her husband’s side when he was in the hospital, but reports claim that the KUWTK reality star is feeling “overwhelmed” and “concerned” about her husband’s relationship with their two young children, Saint and North.

“Kim is being very protective and doesn’t want Kanye around the kids right now,” the source tells US Weekly. Another source claims that Kardashian isn’t really keeping their kids away from West, although it’s a “valid concern” for her.

After being released from the hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 30, Kanye West reportedly celebrated their son Saint’s first birthday, as well as his homecoming. The rest of the Kardashian family reportedly attended the celebration as well.
