Kim Kardashian & Kanye ‘Living Apart’ Amid Saint West ‘Low-Key’ Birthday? Compare To North’s Parties

As Kim Kardashian’s and Kanye West’s son Saint turns 1-year-old, it’s become increasingly challenging to keep up with the Kardashians’ drama (literally). Amid rumors swirling about what led up and occurred during the rapper’s recent hospitalization, Kim and Kanye reportedly are now living separately, with a very “low-key” birthday celebration held for their son.

The Daily Mail told readers that Kardashian and West are “living apart,” and that the 39-year-old rapper is living separately both from Kim and his children following his release from the hospital. He spent 10 days in the medical facility.

But rather than go home, Kardashian’s husband is residing at a “rental house” as he receives “outpatient treatment,” according to a source cited by the media outlet. Amid that situation, a 25-foot Christmas tree was delivered to the Bel-Air home that Kim and Kanye normally share.

In addition, on the day that West was released, the Kardashian family held a “mini celebration” for his return along with a celebration for Saint, who turns 1-year-old on Monday, according to the Daily Mail.

A source told People magazine that Kim had kicked off the celebration of Saint’s first birthday with a “balloon-filled party,” and that his aunts Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, along with Kylie Jenner, were in attendance at the intimate party.

Saint’s aunties commemorated the occasion by turning to Snapchat to share the mansion made festive with colorful balloons in hues of blue and silver, which floated up to the mansion’s high-vaulted ceiling.

The private party “coincided” with West’s return home from the hospital, according to People, which cited an insider’s revelation that Kardashian has “concerns” about how her husband’s “erratic behavior” has impacted his relationship with their children North and Saint.

As for the specific reasons why Kim and her husband are living in completely separate households, a Keeping Up With The Kardashians insider revealed to People that it is for “medical reasons,” and that the rapper has a medical team as he gets outpatient care.

“Kanye isn’t at home with Kim and the kids. He is instead receiving outpatient care elsewhere with a medical team.”

Kardashian is “concerned but is supportive,” added the source, who also revealed that it is not known for how long the rapper will require the outpatient care. The media outlet also cited an insider who emphasized that although Kim and her husband are living apart and have some “frustrations and problems,” they “love each other deeply.”

Vanity Fair pointed out that because Saint’s aunties didn’t provide any context for the parallel social media posts displaying balloons, the little boy’s “low-key” birthday party initially was so low-key that it was a “mystery.” It was only after Kylie, Kourtney, and Khloe posted the same images of those balloons that the reports emerged that the balloons were in honor of Saint turning 1-year-old on December 5.

“[Saint’s party was a] little celebration with a little cake but it was very low-key,” summed up an insider cited by Vanity Fair.

As for the possibility that viewers will be able to see Saint’s birthday on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Ryan Seacrest told People that filming has continued.

“There have been some reports that we halted production,” he noted.

“We did stop for a little bit, briefly, after the Paris incident, but since then we’ve been back in full production. We’re shooting season 13.”

And while it’s not known if Saint’s “low-key” birthday party will be commemorated on the family’s reality TV show, it is possible to compare his celebration to his big sister North West’s parties through the years.

In 2014, North enjoyed a lavish birthday bash for her one-year party, reported Us Weekly.

Terming it a “pretty big party for such a little girl,” Us Weekly noted that Kim and Kanye “went all out for daughter North West’s 1st birthday, throwing her a Kidchella-themed bash complete with a ferris wheel and face-painting.”

When North turned 2-years-old, she also had an epic birthday party, held at Disneyland, according to ET.

The extravaganza featured an all-day celebration with the Kardashian family and Kanye arriving at Disneyland at 10 a.m., and staying past 6 p.m. In addition to her parents, North partied with Kourtney Kardashian and her kids Mason and Penelope, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Kylie’s rumored boyfriend Tyga and his son, King Cairo.

The theme of going all-out for North’s parties continued when she turned 3-years-old. In June 2016, Kim gave her 3-year-old a mermaid-themed birthday celebration that took place at Kardashian’s and West’s Bel Air mansion, according to Cosmopolitan.

They also took everyone to Disneyland to whoop it up again.

And as Khloe showed on social media, the aunties didn’t hold back in celebrating North’s birthday.
