Kim Kardashian Reportedly Refusing To Film ‘KUWTK’ After Kanye West’s Breakdown
Kim Kardashian is taking matters into her own hands following her husband’s mental breakdown and subsequent hospitalization. While Kanye West recovers in the hospital, Kardashian refuses to resume filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians. How did the rest of the family react?
An inside source told Radar Online that Kris Jenner has been pushing her daughter to start production and wants nothing more than her family to return to the spotlight. Despite the pressure, Kardashian is taking drastic measures to deal with the drama.
“Kris has been pushing Kim to go back out in public. She is seriously pressuring her” an insider revealed. “But Kim is not letting Kris manipulate her this time. She is doing what she wants, no matter what her mom says.”
Although she just renewed her KUWTK contract, Kim Kardashian has been lying low and keeping out of the media. Still, her mother is doing everything in her power to convince her to start production.
“Kris is relentless,” the source said. “She thinks that Kim will be better off if she gets back to her regular life of going out in public. She knows that she is doing better and she wants her to resume her responsibilities.”
Kardashian has a lot on her plate at the moment. Following her terrifying robbery at gunpoint in Paris a few months back, West is scheduled to be released from the hospital early this month. Kardashian plans on taking West home and getting the best medical professionals to care for him.
“Kim and Kanye are not going to live with Kris when he gets out of the hospital,” the insider shared. “She isn’t with her mom now and she certainly isn’t going to be there with Kanye. He needs to recover without Kris around.”
For her part, Jenner allowed camera crews in during West’s epic meltdown. The stress of living with the momager apparently became too burdensome for West and Kardashian. Hopefully, West will be able to recover without Jenner around.
According to TMZ, production for KUWTK was delayed following the robbery in Paris back in October. Producers wanted to resume filming last month and continue through the holidays, but it now looks like nothing will happen for the next few months. Thankfully, the crew has enough footage for an entire season and it doesn’t sound like this is the end of the show.
That being said, NY Daily News reported that Kardashian may take a completely different approach to the show once filming resumes. An insider revealed that the reality star is “rethinking everything” in the wake of her personal disasters.
Kim Kardashian has largely kept to herself after the robbery. She was scheduled to make a red carpet appearance in New York at the Angel Ball, but was forced to rush home to West’s side. The rapper was sent to the UCLA Medical Center following a night of erratic behavior.
It isn’t clear what sparked West’s meltdown, though reports indicate he might have been suffering from dehydration and sleep deprivation. Whatever the case, West has yet to be released from the hospital and remains in an unstable condition.
“In the hospital he has been very paranoid and is under constant watch for his safety,” a source shared. “He’s still there because clearly, he’s not doing well.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, West is currently on psychiatric hold. The rapper’s mental breakdown occurred just hours after he canceled the rest of his Saint Pablo tour, which still had some 21 scheduled shows.
Producers have not commented on whether or not the delays in filming will affect the release of Season 13. KUWTK’s Season 12 finale aired last week.
