Scheana Marie And Mike Shay Return To Social Media After Divorce News

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay are getting divorced, but on Twitter and Instagram, it is business as usual for the Vanderpump Rules couple.

After filing for divorce on November 30 in Los Angeles, Scheana Marie took to Twitter on December 1, where she shared a throwback photo of herself in the midst of a Hydroxycut photo shoot.

“#TBT to my @hydroxycut shoot! Love these little packets of energy!” Scheana Marie wrote in the caption of the photo, which featured the reality star sitting at a high-top table with a red drink in front of her.

Meanwhile, Mike Shay, who hadn’t shared an Instagram update in weeks, returned to social media on Wednesday and posted a screenshot of his friend Quinn Anthony’s CD cover. In the caption of the Instagram post, he told fans, “One of the best artist out today hands down! Go check out my bro @quinnanthony and his new album ‘The Initiation.'”

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay confirmed their plans for divorce with a joint statement to Us Weekly on November 30.

“While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship,” their statement read. “Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters. We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.”

In early November, as a past Us Weekly report revealed, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay’s relationship became strained. As the magazine explained to readers, Shay was accused of going missing on November 2 and while he later took to Instagram to deny the allegations, sources claimed Scheana Marie was reportedly unable to reach him and noted possible fears of an alleged drug relapse.

As fans of Vanderpump Rules will recall, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay chronicled his addiction struggles during Season 4 of the Bravo reality show. However, while Mike Shay had previously struggled with an eight-year addiction to painkillers, he and Scheana Marie appeared to have sorted out their issues after she staged an intervention.

Although Scheana Marie’s husband claimed on Instagram that he never went missing, nor was he off the wagon as some outlets have suggested, multiple sources told Us Weekly weeks ago that his marriage to Scheana Marie was nearing its end. One insider also told the magazine that Scheana Marie and Mike Shay had only made contact once, “briefly,” after he allegedly failed to return home one night from band practice.

While Scheana Marie and Mike Shay are parting ways after just two years of marriage, they have made it clear that they plan to remain friends and after her filing on Wednesday, Scheana Marie shared a couple of tweets to her fans and followers in which she discussed her efforts with her husband.

“Thank you all for the love today! It’s never easy to split with someone you still love, but we will always remain friends,” she said in her first tweet.

A while later, Scheana Marie returned to social media where she spoke to fans about concerns regarding their potentially hateful messages to Mike Shay, and their mean comments about their marriage.

“Anyone who has anything negative to say about our marriage or [Mike Shay] will be blocked,” the reality star wrote. “Have some respect…”
