NES Classic Edition: Where To Buy It Now, SNES Mini Will Be Available Soon?

People are definitely going crazy over Nintendo’s holiday offering called the NES Classic Edition. And this has resulted in the tiny 8-bit gaming marvel to be constantly out of stock at retailers. Finding the NES Classic Edition has become quite a bit of a chore nowadays. Fortunately, one unlikely retailer has announced that they will be having a flash sale this December 6. Urban Outfitters has said that they will be selling NES Classic Edition consoles for a limited time.

According to BGR, Urban Outfitters has not yet set an exact time on when they will be opening the NES Classic Edition for sale. The company, however, said that it will be around Tuesday morning. And to those who really want a NES Classic Edition really bad should pay attention to the Urban Outfitters website, as a good guess is that they only have a limited stock and with the way gamers are gobbling up the NES Classic Edition, it would probably not last very long.

As for what time the website would announce the sale of the NES Classic Edition, the same website has been quoted as saying the following.

“If I were a guessing man, I’d say the likeliest times would be 12:01 a.m., and something like 7, 8 or 9 a.m. in the morning, just as physical stores open/the IT guy clicks ‘go’ in an office somewhere.”

Since it is starting to look a bit bleak that Nintendo could still make extra stock for the NES Classic Edition in time for Christmas day, this is definitely a glimmer of hope that some hardcore fans could still get their hands on the NES Classic Edition. And the good news is, only a handful of people may know that there is a way that they can purchase a NES Classic Edition at this time since Urban Outfitters is not exactly known for anything related to gaming.

The same website goes on to give a pretty good tip on how to make sure that one can have an advantage if someone wants to grab a NES Classic Edition. Through the use of a service like Visualping, someone could monitor the Urban Outfitter website and get notified if a new product is shown. Or in this case, when the NES Classic Edition will become available. Also have an account in the website ready so that the hassle of signing in can be eliminated.

NES Classic Editions are usually gone within a couple of minutes as evidenced when Walmart tried to do a similar flash sale. If someone really wants to grab one of these NES Classic Editions, then be prepared to do a lot of waiting and clicking.

SNES Mini is on the way soon after NES Classic Edition?

The success of the NES Classic Edition has created some rumblings about Nintendo working with a similar product for the SNES. The NES Classic Edition has garnered great reviews as well as surge Nintendo into a brighter future after the whole Wii U fiasco.

According to Forbes, the tremendous sales of the NES Classic Edition has spurned a plan for Nintendo that will include an SNES mini, N64 mini, and even a Game Cube mini. The NES Classic Edition seems to be the start of a brand new Nintendo Christmas tradition.

Since the NES Classic Edition has about thirty games, the SNES should probably get the same amount. Games like Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country 2, Contra 3, EarthBound, and Chrono Trigger should be included to match the NES Classic Edition’s historic video game list.

If Nintendo does continue what they started with the NES Classic Edition, then expect the company to go full force into nostalgic marketing the next few years.
