‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Talks Sexual Fan Mail And Negan’s Misdirected Kills — Confirms Saviors’ Leader In Season 8

The Walking Dead Season 7 is inching to the mid-season finale and cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan was on The Howard Stern Show to spread some news regarding Robert Kirkman’s creation and he also talked about some strange fan mail. He also confirmed that Negan will be in Season 8.

Strange TWD Fandom

Actors always have interesting stories to tell regarding fan encounters on talk shows. On a recent airing of The Howard Stern Show, Jeffrey Dean Morgan discussed his recent acquisition of fan mail that was sexual in nature. Some of which involved bondage methods like being bound and gagged.

Perhaps fans figure this is what Negan would be more into, considering the nature of the sadistic character? Barbed wire wrapped around a bat could be considered symbolic to those who admire the craft. It takes all kinds, apparently, to admire celebrities. Morgan explains his fan mail readership, according to Complex.

“Like, they just want to be, I don’t know, gagged and tied up and beat on a little bit.”

This wasn’t the first time Jeffrey had an odd experience. He explained that when he was out having coffee with Norman Reedus that a woman, probably in her 70s, outright said to him, “You a**hole!” Norman busted out laughing at the woman’s reaction to Morgan’s presence and then she proceeds to ask him where he lives.

Norman went along with it, but that’s just an example that Jeffrey gave regarding how he acknowledges how impassioned some of the fans are and he knows what to expect.

Leaked Maggie Death Scene Likely Spoiler Misdirect

The Walking Dead Season 7 has been doing its best to keep “Sneaky Petes” from leaking out information about the cast and crew activity going on at the set. Some time ago, there was a leaked, but unclear, video going around with YouTubers claiming it was actual leaked footage of Maggie meeting her maker and Lucille.

According to Morgan during the recent Howard Stern Show appearance, he thinks it was a case of misdirection to fool would-be spoiler sites from revealing true information from the set.

“I did kill shots on the entire cast. I think the plan was, they would leak some stuff beforehand just to throw people off because there are people whose sole purpose is to ruin the show, to spoil what’s going to happen on the show.”

He continued to joke around about how there are probably websites out there dedicated to spoiling The Walking Dead, but then realized that The Spoiling Dead is an actual site.

Negan Is Confirmed For Season 8

Jeffrey Dean Morgan did indeed confirm his role is locked in for The Walking Dead Season 8. Speaking of the aforementioned spoiler sites, Howard Stern told Jeffrey he didn’t want to know the Season 7 finale and then found out it was completed a week ago.

Back in October, Movie Pilot reported something along those lines as well. Morgan said that Negan won’t be comparable to the single season bad guy of The Governor. The subject of Negan’s origin story, along with that of Lucille, had been discussed and there looked to be a suggestion of a flashback of sorts in Season 8.

“There’s not going to be a Negan flashback this year, but I think that there’s time… moving forward, that’s something I’d love to do, for sure.”

So how do you think The Walking Dead Season 7 will end, and how will Negan move forward into Season 8? Who will even be alive by then?

Stay tuned into AMC’s The Walking Dead every Sunday night at 9 p.m. EST. Only two more episodes remain before the mid-season finale. Who will be the next cast member to die, if it even happens?
