Leah Messer Skips ‘Teen Mom’ Finale: How She’s Putting Her Daughters First

Leah Messer isn’t a part of the Teen Mom OG cast, and she isn’t showing her support these days. The finale of Teen Mom OG aired last night and it was followed by the first half of the reunion special. And while Leah may be friends with some of the Teen Mom OG cast members, she didn’t show her support on social media. Instead, Messer decided to share videos and pictures of what she was doing — she was getting ready for Christmas. Of course, Messer is spending the holidays in her own home for the first time, and she wants to make it memorable.

According to a new Instagram post, Leah Messer is now revealing that things are going well with her and her three daughters. Earlier this year, she purchased her first home, where she and her daughters will live. Messer had rented homes before while she figured out what she wanted to do with her ex-husbands, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert. Now, Leah has enrolled in school at the West Virginia State University, and she’s gearing up for an education. And what better way to celebrate than to get ready for Christmas.

“Addie is obsessed with this movie. lol #StoryOfMyLife #Paddington,” Leah Messer revealed last night as she shared a picture of her television, adding in a separate Instagram post about her Christmas lights, “First Christmas in our home! It’s not been easy, but it’s been worth it! #SoBlessed #AlwaysGrateful.”

Rather than spend some time writing her support for her fellow Teen Mom OG stars on social media, Leah Messer decided to focus on her daughters and how they are doing as they are getting ready for Christmas. Leah has previously revealed she’s tired of filming Teen Mom 2. A few weeks ago, she shared a picture from her car, which was packed with cameras. She revealed that sometimes she loved it and was thankful for the opportunity, but other days she really missed her private life.

Even though Leah has been a part of the show for a long time and has shared two divorces, one can imagine she’s excited about moving on from the show. Both Leah and Kailyn Lowry have revealed that they look forward to having a private life. But it sounds like Messer is starting out by focusing on her daughters, and she knows how to get her life back on track. As she previously revealed, she’s just following her soul, and she knows she already has everything she’s ever wanted.

“Follow your soul. It knows the way,” read a quote that Leah Messer shared on Instagram, writing a separate quote that read, “Just as you must first love yourself to love another, you must first trust yourself in order to trust another. Work to destroy the distrust that has been created in you about yourself. Your soul is directly connected to the loving force that created you. Follow it, for when you do, you are trusting and believing that you are worthy, lovable and cherished. It is then that you can relax into being authentically you; knowing that nothing for you will ever pass you by.”

It’s admirable that Leah Messer is putting her children first, especially now that she’s a new student at the West Virginia State University and a homeowner. It sounds like everything she ever wanted is right in front of her.

What do you think of Leah Messer’s decision to decorate her home for Christmas rather than tweet about Teen Mom OG? Do you think she’s close with the other girls in the Teen Mom franchise and might watch the show at a later date?
