Scheana Shay Weight Loss Not Reason For Backlash: What Has ‘Pump Rules’ Star Done Now?

Scheana Shay has been making headlines recently over her shocking weight loss. For a while, Shay talked about how she was working out, eating healthy, and really doing something good for herself after dealing with her husband’s struggles last year. On Vanderpump Rules, Scheana revealed that her husband, Mike Shay, was struggling with both pill and alcohol addictions. After taking care of her husband and working hard on getting him back on track, Shay wanted to do something for herself, so she started dieting and getting healthy. She has since lost 25 pounds, and she has been heavily criticized for it. But that’s not why people are giving her a hard time this week.

According to a new tweet, Scheana Shay is now defending her decision to call Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, and Kristen Doute mean girls on last night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules. While some people thought that she should choose sides about who she wanted to be friends with, others felt that she just needed to stay true to herself.

“I hope you stay true to you because that one reason you are my favorite. Don’t be a follower,” one person wrote to Scheana Shay after watching Monday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, to which Shay wrote back, “Never have been. Never will be. Trying to respect a friends wishes isn’t following. Anyone who fat shames anyone isn’t a friend to me.”

It’s interesting that Scheana Shay is caught in the middle, especially since her three friends have chosen sides. They don’t want her to be friends with people who they are not friends with, including Lala Kent. On last night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay did act rudely towards Lala, even though both of them have been linked to married men. Maybe Scheana doesn’t see the big deal in her being friends with Lala, and people want her to take a stand against the three girls.

“Don’t let the 3 musketeers dictate ur friendship. The fact they make u chose sides, shows they are not true friends #PumpRules,” another person wrote to Scheana Shay after watching Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and Katie Maloney gang up on her for being friendly with Lala Kent, to which Shay replied, “No one dictates anything in my life other than me. I have amazing friends. You don’t see everything. Remember that! #PumpRules.”

But it sounds like Shay wants people to watch the entire season rather than judge her for what they see now.

“It’s funny when ppl make assumptions early in the season, are rude and get blocked. Then at the end beg to be unblocked. Keep watching,” Scheana Shay later wrote on Twitter, sharing that people may change their minds after watching this season of Vanderpump Rules, reminding fans that the season has just begun.

“Katie is a hypocrite She’s mad at you for being friendly w Lala which was 1 reason she cut Stassi off when katie was nice to u,” one person wrote in Scheana’s defense, while another person wrote, “I thought the same thing. I don’t know why they can’t just be friends with who they want and everyone else stfu.”

But some people want Scheana to take responsibility for the way she behaved in front of Lisa Vanderpump and Lala while confronting her at SUR.

“Srry girl but youre looking pretty pathetic w/this I cant be nice to you bcuz Katie doesnt want me to. Sad,” a person replied to Scheana Shay’s tweet about blocking people, to which Scheana wrote back, “Oh shut up and keep watching. It’s a long season… #PumpRules.”

What do you think of Scheana Shay’s comments about people watching the entire season before they make their judgments about her?
