Bella Hadid is set to strut down the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway for the first time in Paris. And guess who she ran into before her much-anticipated debut on Wednesday? The Weeknd. Bella Hadid met her ex-beau at a hotel in Paris, and the two reportedly did not ignore each other.

Bella Hadid and The Weeknd, born Abel Tesfaye, broke up earlier this month after a year and a half together. The two, however, continue to remain friends, and that was on display when they unexpectedly ran into each other on Monday at Hotel Costes.

The Weeknd was having dinner with his friends, including Ryan Phillippe, at the hotel when the new Victoria Secret’s Angel walked in with her girlfriends, according to an E! News source. Rather than walking past her ex-boyfriend and ignoring him, Bella and her friends joined him and his friends at their table.

Later, Bella was seen sitting next to The Weeknd, and she seemed to be in a great mood. She also talked to her ex-boyfriend for a little while. The former power couple were “really cool” with each other, according to the source.

“Bella sat next to The Weeknd and spoke for a little while to him. They were really cool with each other. Bella was in a great mood, smiling and seemed really happy while being there.”

While Bella is in the “city of love” to make her debut as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, the “Starboy” singer is there to perform during the taped event. The Weeknd is performing for the second year in a row at the annual Victoria’s Secret event.

The reports about Bella and The Weeknd’s split surfaced a couple of weeks after the Canadian singer confirmed his return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Their fans were worried about the possible tension between the couple in Paris, which might have cast a shadow over their performances.

However, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd reportedly had no reason to be bitter, as they decided to separate because of their busy schedules and not because they had fallen out of love. People reported, quoting a source, that Bella and The Weeknd still had a “great deal of love” for each other.

“Their schedules have been too hard to coordinate and he is focusing on finishing and promoting his album. They still have a great deal of love for one another and will remain friends.”

An insider also told E! News that they have not completely pulled the plug on their relationship. The source also said that Bella was excited about her Victoria’s Secret runway debut, and she was relying on her best friends to keep her spirits up.

“Bella was so excited that she’s walking in the Victoria’s Secret Show this year, and she knows it may be a bit strange having her ex perform. She will be OK because she’ll have all her best friends there.”

Meanwhile, before flying to Paris with Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid shared a sexy mirror selfie on her Instagram account. She is wearing a plunging black bra and black G-string, providing a sneak peek of what to expect from her debut walk at the Victoria’s Secret runway.

And during her plane ride to Paris, Bella was apparently caught looking at her ex-boyfriend’s photo on her phone, according to Mail Online. The Weeknd and Bella Hadid can be reportedly seen kissing each other in the photo.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 will be tapped for the first time in Paris on Wednesday, November 30, and it will be telecast on Monday, December 5 on CBS.
