Harry Styles’ Album News: 1D Singer Working With Bruno Mars And Max Martin

Looks like Harry Styles is trying to score a big hit. After One Direction went on their extended hiatus, the singer has been dipping his toe in the acting field. Now, he’s working on a solo album that could rival fellow singer Zayn Malik’s debut album, Mind of Mine.

According to British pop star Robbie Williams, Harry Styles is already working with some big names in the industry. Williams is a popular singer-songwriter from Britain. The fellow bad boy already has plenty of chart-topping success of his own. Williams was previously in the group Take That before he embarked on his own solo career, much like Styles and Malik. However, Williams told the Radio Times that he doesn’t have the music career that he once did, and he’s been trying to score some music big collaborations of his own shortly, according to Bustle.

Two big names he wanted to work with was Bruno Mars and Max Martin. Williams admitted that he had no luck getting a hold of them since they were already working with other big name artists such as Taylor Swift, and of course, Styles.

“Last year I tried to work Bruno Mars – didn’t hear anything back. Tried to work with Max Martin – didn’t hear anything back. They literally didn’t return my calls. Then I met Harry Styles in an airport. ‘Oh, you’re writing, Harry? Great, who with? He goes: Well, I just spent a week with Bruno Mars, and I’m about to spend a week with Max Martin.'”

That was a big blow to the musician. But, Williams played it cool. He jokingly told Styles, “You’re the new me. Good luck!” Having experienced the type of success of being in a popular boyband before pursuing a solo music career, Williams understands Styles’ trajectory and believes the entertainer has what it takes to become a success in the industry.

“I think Harry Styles has beguiled the whole world just by being Harry Styles. He’s got a David Beckham-style quality. So he’s won in that regard. There’s a space for him, but the music has to be great.”

Bruno Mars has scored plenty of hits for other artists. He is also living the high off his success of his latest single, “24K Magic,” along with his previous hits, “Grenade,” “Locked Out Of Heaven,” and “Uptown Funk” with producer Marc Ronson.

Max Martin has the most number-one hits of any music producer of his time. He has written many hits, such as Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” and “Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”

Styles, 22, is expected to release his first solo tracks next year. However, his debut solo album does not have a release date or a tracklist. But it looks like Styles is trying to score a hit of his own like his famous ex-girlfriend has many times in the past.

He will also make his acting debut in Christopher Noland’s World War II movie, Dunkirk, as well. Meanwhile, Williams has secured his own success by becoming the most successful British solo artist on the UK album chart after his latest album The Heavy Entertainment Show dropped, which became his 12th No. 1 hit, according to Digital Spy.

Styles was recently spotted wearing a Hawaiian shirt and tight jeans in Los Angeles. Styles was seen with his fresh new haircut and quirky sense of style, according to a report via the Daily Mail.
