‘Property Brothers’ Rumors: Jonathan And Drew Scott Dish On New Girlfriends, New Renovations, And New Orleans

HGTV’s first-ever breakout stars, Jonathan and Drew Scott — better known as the Property Brothers — have translated their home improvement success into a mainstream cottage industry. And the latest Property Brothers rumors suggest that the Scott brothers are ready to enjoy a life in the spotlight, while also settling down on the home front.

That’s the word according to People Magazine, whose latest round of Property Brothers rumors suggest as much from the twins, who were once rated amongst the magazine’s “Most Beautiful People.” The brothers recently paid a visit to Chelsea Handler’s new Netflix show, and things got a little raucous as they discussed their domestic lives.

While Drew Scott extolled the virtues of his longtime girlfriend, Linda Phan, Jonathan Scott discussed how he reconnected with his new girlfriend, Jacinta Kuznetsov, after seeing her picture in the background of a photo his friend posted.

“I went back to try and… see if somebody knows who she is and she was like a ghost. Nobody knew who she was. I literally learned everything I could try to do to get a date, and it did not work when I was younger. I heard people love musicians so I took up the bagpipes.”

Meanwhile, the latest Property Brothers rumors from NOLA suggest that the brothers haven’t forgotten their home improvement roots, and they’re using their fame in a good way — namely, to help a distressed series of houses in their new HGTV mini-series, Brothers Take On New Orleans. The first episode aired the night before Thanksgiving, and their first target was a shotgun house built in 1904 that was devastated by the various environmental effects.

Drew told the outlet that the home was deemed beyond repair, but that didn’t stop the Scotts from restoring it to its former glory.

“We’ve done duplexes that are side by side before, but they still had a hallway, while those shotguns don’t have hallways. Whenever we go to a new city, we always have local designers and contractors (participate in the projects). In New Orleans, we wanted to make sure we understood the features that New Orleans residents would look for.”

The Scotts worked together with the SBP, formerly known as the Saint Bernard Project, to complete this and all the other houses on the new mini-series.

And the latest Property Brothers rumors put forth by Entertainment Tonight suggest that this is just the beginning of the brothers giving back. The Scotts mentioned that they — along with their older brother, JD — will be restoring many houses in the French Quarter, which were devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

Jonathan pointed out that this mini-series is more about giving back, and less about the sibling rivalry that has defined the Property Brothers for more than 100 episodes.

“”The cool thing is that we’re all friends and obviously Drew does great work. But I’m confident that I’m making this house beautiful too. So regardless which way it goes, we’re getting families back together. We focus on the fact that we’re helping someone in need and not the fact that it’s just a sibling rivalry.”

Hoda Kotb and Scott Bakula are just a few of the celebrity judges that will be featured on this mini-series. The next episode will air on Wednesday, November 30.
