Justin Timberlake Wedding Video Mocks Homeless People [Video]

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are taking some serious criticism from fans and advocates of the homeless. The couple is taking slack for a video they showed at their wedding that seems to mock the homeless (see video below).

The film was created by Timberlake’s friend Justin Huchel. Huchel used homeless people from Los Angeles to poke fun at the couple’s exorbitant wedding ceremony. While Huchel’s jokes were intended to make fun of Biel and Timberlake, it came across as turning homeless people into a living punchline.

One toothless homeless man in the video said:

“Justin, Jessica. I haven’t seen you all in a long time, my gift is in the mail.”

In another part of the video, a voice off camera suggests that a man go shirtless to deliver his congratulations:

“Justin? Jessica? It’s me, Robert.”

The video was put online by website Gawker on Wednesday morning. Gawker put part of the 8 minute film on the net in addition to the email they received from Huchel threatening a lawsuit if any part of the video is published. Gawker has never shied away from publishing controversial material used to email to provide context for the video. The email also claimed Timberlake and Biel should not be liable for something done by their friends without their knowledge.

Michael J. Saltz wrote to Gawker in Huchel’s name:

“Mt Huchel made a video to be used and exhibited privately at Justin Timberlake’s wedding as a private joke without Mr. Timberlake’s knowledge. Mr. Huchel especially has not authorized you or Gawker Media to use or exploit any portion of his copyrighted video.”

Many fans and reporters took to Twitter to criticize the couple and, in fact, made it seem as if the couple is being judged by the company they keep.

Aol reporter Naughty But Nice Rob tweeted:

DISGUSTING – It seems Justin Timberlake friends video taped homeless people wishing the couple “congrats” and aired it at the wedding.

While VH1 sarcastically pointed out:

Yeah, we’re sure Jessica Biel was THRILLED about that “hilarious” homeless people video at her wedding on.vh1.com/SuPN9l
