Tupac Shakur never spoke much about Madonna the pop star

Tupac Shakur’s Relationship With Madonna Explained

Tupac Shakur is one of the most celebrated rappers in the world, even 20 years after his death. Shot dead in a 1996 drive-by just after attending a Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, his murder spawned a lot of conspiracy theories. One of the suspects linked to his death was Orlando Anderson, a Crips gang member who was involved in an altercation with Suge Knight and Tupac Shakur just prior to the shooting.

According to Frank Anderson, Tupac Shakur’s bodyguard, “If you get into a scuffle and you get your butt whipped, what are you gonna do? You’re going to tell your friends, ‘Hey I just got into a fight and guess who it was with? Tupac.’ And someone’s going to say, ‘You know what, let’s go get some payback.'” This is as reported by IB Times. Greg Kading, an LAPD detective working on the case, also offered his version of what really went down that night, linking P Diddy to his death. According to his statement, Diddy paid a million dollars to the Crips gang to have 2Pac killed.

However, another theory suggests that Biggie Smalls, who was at the time feuding with Tupac Shakur paid someone to assassinate him. Their beef had gotten very personal, especially after Tupac claimed in his diss track “Hit ‘Em Up” to have had a sexual encounter with Faith Evans, Biggie Smalls’ wife. Although, Faith has consistently denied the allegations, some of the lyrics to her “Best Man” song were viewed by some as evidence of her cheating. The following is one of the controversial verses.

“I was getting fed up with all your dipping out / With every girl around town, you know what / I’m talking ’bout ’cause you’ve been caught / And I forgave you many times / But now I slipped up and while your friend / Was around, I gave him a taste of my love / I know that I broke your trust for a night of lust / But don’t let that break us up”

Speaking about relationships and breakups, Tupac is reported to have had a relationship with another woman at the height of his stardom, and that is Madonna. She revealed this in March last year on the Howard Stern Show while reflecting on the time she was annoyed with David Letterman. The following was her statement.

“Well, one time I was mad at him [David Letterman], when I said the F-word a lot, but the rest of the time was good. You know what? I was in a weird mood that day. I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing is he got me all riled up about life in general. So, when I went on the show I was feeling very gangster.”

About how the relationship started, Tupac’s brother Mopreme Shakur recently revealed the following.

“She [Madonna] gave me a note to give to him. [I didn’t read it,] I was just happy she was giving him a note. Everybody was there, I went over and gave it to him. He was about the business and then they linked up. I would take him to her house and s**t when we got back to L.A. Yeah. They were a thing for a minute.”

On why the relationship was never hyped by the media, there was little drama between them. They reportedly had a lot of mutual respect for one another. According to Tupac Shakur’s brother, “They both respected each other, so it ended cool. He never talked s**t about her, not to me. And she never talked s**t about him.” This is as reported by Vibe.
