Rose McGowan Sex Tape: Explicit Video Of The ‘Charmed’ Actress Reportedly Hits The Internet

Rose McGowan appears to be the latest victim of a sex tape leak, with reports that an explicit video of the actress has hit the internet this week.

The video reportedly started to appear on the internet in recent days, claiming to show the actress in a racy scene with an unidentified man. The U.K.’s Mirror reported on the alleged sex tape but did not confirm whether it was actually Rose McGowan featured in it.

The report noted that the video, which is just under two-and-a-half minutes long, has appeared on a number of celebrity websites. It’s not clear from the reports if the video was intentionally filmed and released by one of the parties involved or if McGowan was the victim of a hacker.

If it was the work of a hacker, that would make Rose McGowan part of a growing number of celebrities to be attacked in recent weeks. A string of British celebrities were hit with what appeared to be an identical scam, where someone pretended to be interested in a relationship to trick them into performing sex acts on camera. That footage was then released to the internet.

X-Factor stars Shayne Ward and Sam Callahan were the first two victims in separate incidents, with both men claiming that the catfishing scam was pulled off years ago when both were still single.

Ward noted that he was ashamed to have been fooled into filming a sex tape.

“This video is years old. Shayne was single at the time, and it happened when he was on tour with War of the Worlds,” his representative told the Sun.“He’s so embarrassed this has happened. The conversation between him and the supposed woman have left him hugely red faced. He can’t believe anyone would do this.”

Just a few days later, rugby star and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ben Cohen was the victim of a sex tape leak.

If the Rose McGowan sex tape is legitimate — and it has still not confirmed to be really the actress in the alleged video — then it would be the continuation of a rough year for the 43-year-old actress.

As the Daily Mail noted, Rose just finalized her divorce from visual artist David Leavitt. She noted that the couple had been separated since May 2015, just a little more than a year after their wedding.

And a few weeks before that, Rose McGowan opened up about a traumatic incident from her past. In an open letter to Hollywood, McGowan wrote that she was raped by a top Hollywood executive, whom she did not name.

“Do not work with those you know to be offenders or you are no better than they,” she wrote. “Take a stand. You are culpable for your actions. Stop rewarding sociopaths. Every time you sanction abhorrent behavior, you are aiding and abetting a crime, that makes you no better than a criminal.”

And somewhat ironically, Rose McGowan just appeared on the cover of Bust magazine, an issue that also happened to feature a story on “sex tape safety tips.”

Rose McGowan has become one of the most outspoken members of Hollywood regarding sexism and the double standards that women face in the industry. She has also spoken out against Instagram’s strict no-nudity policy, which some claim is unfairly targeting women.

“There is no shame in having breasts,” McGowan wrote on a picture of herself in a tight top. “Fun fact: Just because a woman posts a photo with her breasts in them does not make a photo that is sexual in nature.”

For her part, it does not appear that Rose McGowan has responded publicly to the rumor of a sex tape leak.
