Ariana Grande’s Style Secrets, From Her Eyeglasses To Her New Fragrance
Ariana Grande has a little-known style secret. The pint-size singer loves to wear bright and colorful eyeglasses in her day-to-day life, especially when she attends award ceremonies. She previously rocked a pair when she performed on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
According to Yahoo Style, the visually impaired singer often wears them when she’s in the recording studio or in rehearsal. Grande was seen rocking a pair of colorful spectacles on Sunday night at the American Music Awards. If you didn’t notice, that’s because Grande didn’t wear them on the red carpet, during her performance of “Side to Side,” or when she accepted her Artist of the Year award. Grande was only seen rocking them whenever the cameras panned over to the audience during the show. At one point, the cameras caught Grande watching the show while wearing a pair of graphic print frames.
She previously revealed on Instagram that she wears eyeglasses so that she can see. Last year, Grande shared this sizzling black-and-white photo of herself wearing a pair of eyeglasses with a black camisole. Then, she shared the following photo on Snapchat of herself snuggled in an oversized sweatshirt as she worked brown tortoise frames, according to Twist Magazine.
But, on Sunday night, Grande paired her look with a black lace crop top and white wide length pants. She also sported her waist-length high ponytail, which featured three braids. According to Hollywood Life, Grande’s makeup was done by Daniel Chinchilla, who used YSL, Nars, Girlactik, Urban Decay, and Chanel Beauty to get her red carpet look.
She also just released the short film for her newest fragrance, Sweet Like Candy. In the new commercial, Ariana imagines herself as different people, from an ice cream truck owner to a candy maker. In a new behind-the-scenes video, Grande explains the plot for those who are confused, according to People.
“So far I’ve been like a mail man/woman/person, an old glamourous movie type looking person. Later, I’m gonna be some kind of like exaggerated version of myself.”
Still confused? The commercial’s director, Hannah Lux Davis, reveals all in a new interview.
“Ariana was excited about creating a vibe that was tongue-in-cheek and had some playful, unexpected elements to it. I wanted to create a scenario where all the flavors come together in an unexpected way. An ice cream truck, a baker’s delivery van, and a candy cart, all colliding in the middle of an intersection, ultimately inspiring Ariana to create Sweet Like Candy. Working with Ariana is always an adventure.”
