Kanye Forced Kim To Spend Millions On Renovations For Home Couple Never Lived In
In the days leading up to the emotional meltdown that landed him in a Los Angeles hospital, Kanye West had become so spooked he prodded his wife, Kim Kardashian, into spending upwards of $10 million for renovations on a home the couple has yet to spend one night in.
TMZ adds the reality TV star had become so frustrated with her husband’s moodiness about what features he wanted for the 15,667-square foot, Hidden Hills estate they purchased in 2014, she had commenced complaining to all those around her that she was being forced to foot the bill for the entire project.
The word is that the couple paid around $20 million for the property, which features eight bedrooms, an inside gym, and a movie theater, and by last April, they had already spent at least $8 million for upgrades.
It’s reported the notoriously finicky West would routinely order elaborate changes, only to demand yet another complete makeover immediately after seeing all his first directive put into effect.
Over time, all the drama is said to have served as still another source of tension and frustration for the already high-strung power couple.
For West, things hit critical mass earlier this month when he was rushed to a local hospital suffering from what has been reported as severe sleep deprivation. He remained hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center through the Thanksgiving holiday, and it remains a mystery as to when he might be allowed to leave the hospital.
On the day that he was hospitalized, police arrived at the home of his personal trainer to find him acting “erratically.”
Initially, the 39-year-old “Famous” rapper resisted all talk of receiving medical assistance, but over time, he was convinced by his management team to allow paramedics to treat him, although police were still forced to handcuff him to a gurney while he was being transported to the hospital.
In the days leading up to his hospitalization, West had engaged in what has been described as several bizarre rants while performing on his Saint Pablo tour, including one instance where he hinted that Beyoncé had cheated to win her recent MTV Video Award, and Jay-Z had once sent contract killers out to track him down.
In the wake of all his public misfortune, The Daily Mail recently reported that Beyoncé is now encouraging her husband to let the past be the past and seek to repair his fractured relationship with West.
“No matter what has happened between them, Kanye has always been Jay’s little bro and Jay has always called him his ‘familia,’ said a source.
The rapper is known to have also been struggling with his wife’s recent trauma when she was held at gunpoint, and $10 million in jewelry was stolen. Kim was in Paris for fashion week when she was robbed. Kim Kardashian has largely kept a low profile since then, essentially shutting down her generally heavily-trafficked social media presence.
West also set off alarms bells by recently admitting to stunned fans that had he cast a vote in the recent, hotly contested presidential election he would have pulled the lever for Republican winner Donald Trump.
“If I would have voted, I would have voted on Trump,” he said, before the sound of his voice was overtaken by a cascade of boos. West is still largely idolized in hip-hop circles for openly declaring during the height of all the destruction brought on by Hurricane Katrina more than a decade that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
