MacBook Pro, Google Pixel XL, And HTC Vive Lead List Of Best Technology Products This Holiday Season [Opinion]

The holiday season has arrived, and there are several technology products that would make great gifts, even if they cost a lot of money. From smartphones to laptops to Bluetooth headphones, there are a lot of high-quality technology products available. Let’s take a look at some of the best.

Google Pixel XL Smartphone

The Google Pixel XL Smartphone can be purchased with financing at Verizon or at full price (at least $769) for other carriers. You can buy the Verizon Pixel XL and use it on AT&T or T-Mobile. The phone is quite expensive but worth the price. The Pixel XL not only offers the best screen that has ever existed on a smartphone but also produces the smoothest experience available for an Android phone. And the camera is incredible.

2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

The 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is a couple hundred dollars overpriced. However, the $1,799 13-inch version is one of the best, fastest and most portable laptops ever made. The Touch Bar adds some nice technology coolness to the MacBook Pro, but what really shines is the new butterfly keyboard, which will allow you to type faster than you’ve ever typed before.

The Wide Color display is beautiful as well. The 10-hour battery life will allow you to take your MacBook Pro with you each day without having to worry about lugging around a power supply.

Sony MDR-1000X Bluetooth Wireless Headphone

Although $399 might seem quite expensive for a Bluetooth headphone set, with Sony’s MDR-1000X, you get more than what you pay for. Sony has moved past Bose, Sennheiser, and other brands to create the best Bluetooth wireless headphone on the market.

The sound is crisp with thumping bass, and the noise cancellation is actually better than anything Bose has come up with. The headphone is very user-friendly and allows you to turn noise cancellation on or off. You can also set the headphone to “Ambient” mode, which allows you to hear traffic while outdoors. If you want to interrupt the music for a second to hear something else, just put your right hand on your right ear to temporary stop the music and turn up the ambient volume.

HTC Vive Computer Bundle

The HTC Vive is not only a huge technology breakthrough, but it’s also the best virtual reality headset to date. The headset itself costs $800, but you need a very high-powered desktop system to operate it. The $1,499 price tag that HTC is offering for the bundle may seem like a lot of money, but wait till you see what you get.

Unlike other virtual reality headsets, the Vive truly has the power to bring you into another world. And you can walk around in that world and interact with things. The Blue brings you deep into the ocean, while Google Earth VR can put you in the center of thousands of locations all over the world.

Games such as Holoball and Selfie Tennis can give you an intense workout right from your living room, and you can even go to your own movie theater. You have to experience this heavenly technology to believe it.

Dell XPS 13 (Late 2016 Version)

If you think the new MacBook Pro is too expensive and want a cheaper PC alternative, look no further than the Dell XPS 13 ($1,599, but you can find Black Friday deals at $1,399), which is perhaps the most acclaimed laptop of the past two years. Unlike the MacBook Pro’s Intel i5 processor, the XPS 13 comes with the latest Kaby Lake Intel i7 processor. The QHD+ screen is gorgeous. The battery life, considering the XPS 13’s power and the ultra-high screen resolution, is great as well.
