Tom Cruise Reportedly Smitten With ‘Mummy’ Co-Star Annabelle Wallis: Will He Leave Scientology For The Beauty?

Tom Cruise had a very public split with Katie Holmes in 2012, and ever since, he has struggled to find a partner who understood his life and religion, OK! Magazine reported. However, it seems that may have changed. A new report claims that Tom is not only head over heels in love, but he’s also considering leaving Scientology for his new lady.

A source close to the 54-year-old star explained that Cruise has dated over the past few years, but no one really caught his eyes — that is, until now.

“Every so often he’d go on a date, but there was no one that he could see himself with. So instead, he’d go back to buying himself in his work,” a source close to the actor stated.

It was through work that Cruise first met his ex-wife Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz. Tom developed a reputation in Hollywood for dating many of his co-stars, and sources tease that he may have found love again on the set of the remake of The Mummy with the British actress Annabelle Wallis.

Wallis, known for her work on the BBC drama Peaky Binders, was allegedly hand-picked by Cruise for the reboot of 1992 The Mummy and may have gotten more than she bargained for with a full-fledged love affair with the Hollywood actor.

Instant Love Connection

Almost as soon as filming began, everyone on the set could see that Tom was captivated by Annabelle, OK! Magazine reported. They had great chemistry, and their scenes together were smoking hot. Cruise has not been in a relationship for so long that he wasn’t sure how to make a move with her, so it fell on Wallis’ to make the first move.

“She asked him if he wanted to get dinner after shooting wrapped early one day,” a source explained. “And she insisted on paying, which really bowled him over.”

Apparently, it didn’t take Tom long to be completely smitten with the British actress. He started showering her with gifts, flowers, and attention. Filming wrapped up in August, and they are still going strong, even though Cruise has been busy promoting his next film, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

“They’ve been burning up the phone lines. Tom doesn’t want to lose the connection he has with her,” an inside source claimed.

Taking It Slow

Tom wants to take his time with his next relationship because he was incredibly hurt when Katie Holmes left him in 2012. Cruise admitted he felt embarrassed when she left, especially after he made a big about their relationship on Oprah’s show. Annabelle, who previously dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, shares many of Cruise’s interests, so their connection was almost instantaneous.

Wallis, like Cruise, is dedicated to charities and has a genuine passion for making the world a better place.

Ready To Ditch Scientology For Love?

This time, Tom wants to take it slow and not push his religion so much. Hollywood Life reported that there are rumors that Tom stated if Annabelle asked him to leave the church, he would. Cruise has never been open to leaving Scientology for love, so it could be a sign that he’s truly in love this time. To protect his relationship, he wants to keep his relationship with Wallis a secret.

“Tom has fallen hard for Annabelle,” an insider stated. “I wouldn’t be surprised to see him dancing on another couch, professing his love for her in the coming months.”

It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few months. There is a persistent rumor that Annabelle Wallis and Chris Martin are still together.

The Mummy comes to theaters in June 2017.
