Banana Republic: Retailer Rolls Out 2016 Black Friday, Cyber Monday Deals

Black Friday is around the corner, and Banana Republic is one of the many retailers that are expected to have plenty of deals in-store and online. Banana Republic’s clothing and accessories are generally too expensive for most of their demographic. So, it’s usually best to wait for either their clearances or their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Luckily, the 2016 Black Friday ad for Banana Republic already were released on Friday morning, Nov. 23. Banana Republic is just one of the many retailers that will have a huge online sale on Black Friday. Most of the stores listed on the I4U News report will cut their prices to less than half the biggest shopping day of the year.

Banana Republic has already kicked off its 2016 Black Friday sale online at BananaRepublic.com, according to the news outlet. Shoppers can save 50 percent on regular priced items with the code “BRFIFTY” at checkout. They can also save up to 40 percent on other eligible items with the code “BRFORTY” on the online checkout. The half-off deal will run from now through Cyber Monday. Shoppers can also use “BRFIVE” for online purchases on Cyber Monday, according to Fashion Week Daily.

According to Forbes, Banana Republic will be offering 30 percent to 50 percent off in-store, depending on locations. You may have to spend a certain amount to quality for the discount. Banana Republic’s parent stores, Old Navy and Gap, are also offering discounts and sales on Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

Old Navy will be giving away $100,000 to one lucky winner each day, including other cash and prizes, as part of their “Instant Happy” sweepstakes. Scratch cards are only available in-store daily. The cards will include prizes from participating partners such as Coca-Cola, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Fandango, and Tiny Prints. Plus, shoppers can receive a free pair of socks with every purchase on Cyber Monday.

Old Navy and Banana Republic’s parent store, Gap, has also kicked off its 50 percent 2016 Black Friday sale online at Gap.com. Shoppers will receive half-off on everything except gift cards in their online basket. Use code “TGIF50” at checkout.

In addition to the 2016 Black Friday sale, Banana Republic is already having a sale on men’s and women’s clothing, petites, shoes, jewelry and accessories on its online store. There’s also a finale sale on men’s and women’s clothing along with petites clothing and accessories.

Last year, Banana Republic also rolled out their 2016 summer collection in certain locations amid the Black Friday rush. It has not been reported whether the retail chain will decide to launch their 2017 summer collection during the busy holiday shopping season. The brand appears to be focused on promoting both its fall and winter collections, along with giving gift ideas on its social media accounts.

Banana Republic generated buzz on Google with both its 2016 summer collection and its 2015 Black Friday sale. The retail giant became one of the most popular search terms around Black Friday.

What is also not clear is whether Banana Republic will open on Thanksgiving Day, or if the retail giant decides to close its doors for the holiday and reopen Friday morning. The information has not been reported, nor is it on the brand’s website. This comes after many retailers and shopping outlets have decided to keep its doors closed so their employees can enjoy the holiday with their friends and family.
