Brad Pitt Investigation Dropped By FBI, No Charges Filed

The FBI has closed the Brad Pitt investigation concerning child abuse allegations. NBC News spoke to the FBI spokeswoman about the case, and she said that the review of the entire situation has completed. The allegations and investigation came after an international airplane trip that alleged that Brad Pitt had abused at least one of his children.

“The FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter.”

This is the second investigation that concluded that there was not enough evidence to continue pursuing charges against Brad Pitt. 11 days ago, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services cleared him of all charges as well.

The Brad Pitt investigation included interviews with family members, the children, and a review of facts from the alleged incident. This should end all possibilities of charges against the actor. However, Angelina Jolie seems to be hellbent on getting something done.

People reported that Jolie spoke to the International Criminal Court. While she never mentioned Brad Pitt in her speech, the entire recent situation makes her words come across with a very different meaning.

“I particularly welcome the commitment to include charges for crimes against children wherever the evidence permits as part of a more systematic approach. I congratulate the office of the chief prosecutor, and all those working on the policy.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt back in September, right after the alleged airplane incident took place. The two already had a prenuptial agreement in place for their money and property, but their battles seemed centered around the custody of their kids.

Angelina Jolie wanted sole physical custody of their children, and Brad Pitt wanted joint custody. People also reported earlier in this month that Jolie’s representatives said that the couple had reached a legal agreement on custody, but there is no word on what that agreement is yet. California law normally favors joint custody. The Brad Pitt investigation was one part of this custody battle.

Fox News reported that the allegations against Brad Pitt came on a private flight from Nice to Los Angeles in September when he got into a loud argument with Angelina Jolie. When their son Maddox got between them, Pitt allegedly yelled at him and told them to mind their own business. Pitt was alleged to be drunk at the time, which caused both the FBI and Los Angeles investigation to start.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six children – Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh,10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. The Brad Pitt investigation found no evidence from which to press any charges against the actor.
