One Direction Baby: Cheryl & Liam Payne’s Pregnancy Confirmed? ‘They’re Having A Baby’ Says Friend
One Direction’s Liam Payne and girlfriend Cheryl have been rumored to be expecting a baby for weeks now, but while the couple has stayed seriously tight-lipped amid the rumors, a friend of the couple appears to have accidentally just confirmed that Cheryl is, in fact, pregnant.
According to reports, choreographer Brian Friedman, who worked alongside both Cheryl and Liam during their stints on Britain’s The X Factor, confirmed that the two are expecting a baby in a new interview with a New! Magazine.
Freidman was asked about Cheryl and Liam’s relationship amid the rampant baby rumors in a new interview with the British magazine, to which he reportedly replied, “Now they’re having a baby together, so they found something great.”
It’s not yet clear if Cheryl and Liam confirmed their alleged baby news to the choreographer or if Brian got his information from the rampant pregnancy rumors that have swirled around Liam and his girlfriend for the past several weeks, though Freidman then continued to gush over Cheryl and Payne in the interview after seemingly letting slip the baby news.
“If they’re happy then it’s fantastic,” Brian continued of Cheryl and Liam. “It’s funny to think back how long ago it was that they first met.”
“There’s something ironic in that they both came up into the industry in the same way,” he then continued of Cheryl and the One Direction star after seemingly confirming that they are in fact expecting a baby together. “They have an immediate connection. They’re in love and it works for them,” he added of Payne and the pop star.
Cheryl and Liam are yet to officially confirm that they’re expecting a baby together, though rumors claiming that Cheryl is pregnant and expecting Payne’s baby have been swirling for weeks after the former Girls Aloud singer appeared to show off a baby bump at an event in Paris, France, in early October.
The Sun reported that Cheryl showed off a noticeably “fuller figure” at the event, at which she was mainly photographed from the front or waist up, sending One Direction fans into a frenzy over the Payne baby speculation.
Cheryl then sparked rumors she was pregnant with Liam Payne’s baby once again after The Sun reported that she appeared to cover her midsection during an appearance on Britain’s The One Show in early November and opted to sit behind a table during a recent signing session for her new perfume.
But while Liam and Cheryl are still staying mum as the pregnancy rumors continue to hit the headlines, it has been reported that it’s not just Payne and Cheryl’s close friend and former The X Factor co-worker who could have let the baby news slip if the star really is pregnant.
UnrealityTV reported earlier this year that Cheryl’s mom could have already let the baby news out of the bag, claiming that the singer’s mom was spotted by a fellow shopper purchasing baby and pregnancy items, which could potentially have been for her daughter, earlier this year.
An onlooker who spoke out the site at the time alleged amid the One Direction baby speculation that Cheryl’s mom was buying “a massive pregnancy pillow which helps make your bump more comfortable when you’re trying to sleep.”
The site also alleged at the time that Cheryl’s mom was also “asking the assistant for advice” about products to help pregnant soon-to-be moms, suggesting Cheryl and Payne could, in fact, be expecting a baby of their own.
Cheryl and Liam are still yet to confirm if a baby is on the way after revealing that they’re dating earlier this year, though the Sun reported just weeks ago that speculation Cheryl is pregnant has reached such fever pitch in the U.K. that two British betting shops have been forced to stop taking bets on whether or not Payne and his girlfriend will soon announce a pregnancy.
