Cardi B Introduces Her Sister Hennessy, Fixes Her Teeth On ‘LHHNY’ Season 7 Premiere

In Love and Hip Hop New York Season 7 Cardi B is in good spirits as she celebrates her musical and viral success. The reality TV star and rapper introduced her wild sister Hennessy and she also fixed her teeth to silence her haters during the episode.

Coming from the Bronx, Cardi B became an internet sensation for her unfiltered comedic video and Hip Hop music. Her YouTube account alone has about nine million views with many more coming from websites, such as World Star Hip Hop.

In LHHNY Episode 1, Cardi struggles to remain in “Team Loyal” as her producer Swift tries his luck. Cardi B makes it clear that she wants to wait for her boyfriend Tommy who is currently in prison. She tells her producer Swift to come on tour with her but refrain from making a move on her.

While Cardi B was performing, Swift took the opportunity for some bumping and grinding. This led Cardi’s friend Bianca to assume that her relationship has a lot more to it than just making music.

Cardi B discussed her insecurity about her teeth due to internet bullying and decides to go to an orthodontist fix them. Meanwhile, Swift tagged along and it was revealed that he has a girlfriend in London, England that Cardi B does not know about. While he remains in Cardi’s friendzone, things may change later when they go on tour.

Cardi B’s success was not overnight. She is the daughter of a Dominican father, who was a taxi driver and a Trinidadian mother that worked as a cashier. She worked as a stripper when she was 18-years-old for about five years.

In Love and Hip Hop New York Season 6, Cardi B and Dj Self had a relationship while he had a baby mother, which led to an altercation. In an interview with the New York Post, it is revealed that Cardi was skeptical about joining the show.

“The first time around I was a bit skeptical when approached to be on the show because I was working on my music. I did not really want to open up about my entire life on TV, but it was a big opportunity,” Cardi B also tells the publication that she was surprised by her success. “I am very surprised about the feedback I was getting. I was just being myself.”

Due to the success of her music, Cardi B went on tour and was making money from her YouTube views. Cardi B has a guest starring role in Being Mary Jane and is currently working on other movie roles. One of the more popular cast mates this season, she has over five million followers on Instagram.

“I was skeptical about recording and putting my mixtape out because what if people did not like it? I had low expectations so I was just going to be happy with making money off of YouTube videos,” she says. “But a lot of people downloaded my music and I ended up doing a tour that was really successful. It is crazy that people are interested in me. I am just a girl from the Bronx.”

In Love and Hip Hop New York this season Cardi B and Swift relationship seems to turn sour as a preview for the next episode shows the producer having a temper tantrum. The producer is seen throwing chairs in front of her. Many fans are suspecting that Cardi finds out about Swift’s girlfriend in London.
