Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s wedding was just what Counting On needed to get a ratings boost. There’s already talk that Jinger might be pregnant, and her first baby could bring in even more viewers.
As the Futon Critic reports, TLC couldn’t resist boasting about the success of Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s Counting On wedding special, and the network also thinks viewers should be impressed by how quickly it was produced. Jinger and Jeremy tied the knot on November 5, and their wedding special aired on November 15.
“The Duggar-Vuolo nuptials – turned around by the network in just ten days – delivered 2.3M viewers (L+3 P2+) and was the highest rated episode since the series premiere in March of 2016,” a TLC press release reads. “In addition, the program was #1 in cable for the night with the hard to reach W18-34 and helped pushed TLC to the #1 spot among ad-supported cable network for the night among all key women demos (W25-54/18-49/18-34).”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, most episodes of Counting On average around 1 million viewers. However, according to Zap2It, 1.8 million viewers tuned in for Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s wedding special.
TLC used “a multiplatform content strategy” to ensure that fans of the Duggar family would remember to tune in to watch Jinger and Jeremy walk down the aisle, and the network admits that it used Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth’s courtship announcement to attract more eyeballs.
“TLC teased a new Duggar courtship announcement on the show’s Facebook page earlier in the afternoon and in less than a day, the video garnered approximately half a million views. The anticipation helped drive viewers to tune-in to Jinger and Jeremy’s Wedding Special that evening to find out which Duggar sibling had officially began courting and to hear from the happy couple for the first time!”

TLC has revealed that viewers will get to see Jinger Duggar’s wedding preparations when Counting On returns for a third season in January 2017. However, some fans aren’t happy about this. Now that they’ve already seen Jinger and Jeremy’s marriage ceremony, many viewers simply aren’t interested in watching Jinger say yes to the dress and taste wedding cake.
What these disappointed viewers may tune to see is a new courtship, a honeymoon, and a new baby or two. As People reports, Jinger and Jeremy decided to take their first unchaperoned trip together to Australia and New Zealand. They were tailed by a camera crew, so viewers will get to see what they did during their honeymoon.
According to the Hollywood Gossip, there’s already speculation that Jinger Duggar is pregnant. The website notes that Jinger and Jeremy couldn’t “keep their hands off one another” while they were courting, and some fans have even suggested that Jinger is sporting post-sex hair in a honeymoon video that the couple recently shared.

The Duggars don’t believe in using birth control, and one of Jinger’s sisters has already given birth to a “honeymoon baby.” As the Daily Mail reports, Jill Duggar informed her family that she was pregnant with her first child just one month after she and Derick Dillard tied the knot. If Jinger Duggar gets pregnant just as quickly, her pregnancy announcement will come right in time for Counting On Season 3. According to Us Weekly, Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard, has already predicted that Jinger will “be expecting by the end of the year.”
