Thanksgiving And Black Friday 2016 Hours And Sales For Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Amazon, And More


So you’re making a list and checking it twice, figuring out who’s been naughty or nice, and you’re all ready to snag those Thanksgiving and Black Friday best buys at places ranging from Walmart to Target to Amazon. Where to find the hours that retail stores are open, and who’s got the top deals and steals? Your guide awaits you below.

When it comes to deals, some retailers are offering special in-store bargains on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, according to Deal News. The following stores are open on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Best Buy is 5 p.m to 1 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, then open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m on Black Friday (some locations may vary, so check with your local retailer). Kohl’s, Target, and Walmart offer Thanksgiving sales starting at 6 p.m., and are open on Black Friday.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is open 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. for its Thanksgiving Day hours, then 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday. And for those who are shopping for underwear for the bedroom rather than outwear for the great outdoors, Victoria’s Secret opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and then is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday (some locations may vary, so check with your local store).

Walmart is offering a twist on the usual late afternoon/early evening Thanksgiving sales and early morning Black Friday deals in 2016, however, because there’s an online enticement, according to Fox 6.

“Walmart’s deals start at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in stores and even earlier online –- 11:01 p.m. Wednesday night.”

What is it like for those working at the retailing giant?

“Fourth quarter for us is like the Super Bowl,” declared Horace Gant, store manager at the Walmart Supercenter in Greenfield. “It’s like, the biggest time of the year.”

When it comes to Walmart, however, get ready for something else in 2016. Why wait until Monday for Cyber Monday when Walmart is offering special web deals on Black Friday, according to Reuters.

That push by the company to pile on the web deals on Black Friday adds to the store traffic. Internet shopping traditionally peaks on Cyber Monday, while Black Friday is the busiest day for brick-and-mortar stores.

Amazon is speeding up the Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping train as well, already advertising Black Friday deals online, reported the Black Friday.

Deals that are steals range from a Disney Baby Girls Four-Piece Winnie the Pooh Cardigan Set (regularly priced at $40, on sale for $17), to an Anker SoundCore Bluetooth Speaker w/24-Hour Playtime (regularly priced at $79.99, on sale for $26.99).

When it comes to the best Thanksgiving and Black Friday deals, WHNT noted that Walmart, which will offer in-store sales beginning at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and the majority of Black Friday items on Walmart.com starting at 12:01 a.m. Thanksgiving Day has electronic deals ranging from iPhones to iPads. An iPhone 5S 16GB (Straight Talk Wireless) will sell for $99, for example, while you can snag an iPad Mini 2 32 GB for $199.

Target, which opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, will be offering the Apple Watch Series 1 starting at $198. And it’s competing for games as well, enticing shoppers by offering a savings of $50 plus a free $40 Target Gift Card with the purchase of any Xbox One S Console 500GB Battlefield 1 or Minecraft Bundle at $249.99.

Best Buy is going for the traditional with its Doorbusters deal. Opening at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Best Buy will also offer deals online at BestBuy.com. Among the sales items at Best Buy are a Samsung 55? Class LED Smart 4K Ultra HDTV for $479.99 (save $320) and a Canon EOS Rebel T6 DSLR camera with EF-S 18-55mm lens and 75-300mm lens PLUS 32GB Memory Card for $449.99 (save $250).

When it comes to Amazon’s sales and deals for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, timing counts. Beginning on November 20, the Kindle Paperwhite is $20 off. Starting on November 24, the Amazon Echo is $40 off and the Fire tablet is $33.33.
