New Haven, CT (AHN) – A female body has been found by police in a wall in the Yale research building where a graduate student, Annie Le, worked. The 24-year-old had gone missing since Tuesday.

According to the Yale Daily News, New Haven Police found the body late Sunday, the same day Le was scheduled to be married. Bloody clothing was found the previous day, but authorities have not said whether the clothing is connected to her disappearance, which is now officially a homicide investigation.

Investigators are in the process of identifying the body.

More than 100 law enforcement officials including those from the university, the FBI and the City of New Haven had been searching for Le. The Connecticut State Police had used bloodhounds to search the area of the facility.

A doctorate student of Asian descent, Le was last seen on university surveillance video Tuesday morning entering the research facility at 10 Amistad Street. Her purse containing her cell phone credit cards and money were left in her office at the Sterling Hall of Medicine. The university earlier offered a $10,000 for information leading to her whereabouts,

The university says Le’s fiance, family and friends have been cooperating with investigators.
