Is ‘Kardashian Curse’ Behind Kanye West Being Hospitalized After Concert Meltdown
Hip-hop superstar Kanye West has been hospitalized in the wake of his Sacramento meltdown and the cancellation of the remainder of the “Life Of Pablo Tour.” Kanye cancelled the remainder of the tour after causing outrage when he launched into a bizarre rant during a show in Sacramento over the weekend. Kanye attacked Beyonce, Hillary Clinton and Jay Z before accusing the press of racism and leaving the stage in less than 30 minutes. As reported in the Inquisitr, fellow rapper Snoop Dogg called West’s behavior “crazy” in a social media post, but it now seems that West has, in fact, had a total mental breakdown.
According to TMZ, Kanye was hospitalized after emergency services were called to his home in response to a medical welfare call. Sources claim that Kanye resisted being taken to hospital and as a result had to be handcuffed and restrained in a gurney. West has been hospitalized for his own safety and is said to be suffering a mental breakdown as a result of “severe sleep deprivation.”

West is currently under “psychiatric evaluation” at UCLA Medical Center as friends claim that the hip-hop superstar is “spiraling out of control.” Reports claim that Kanye’s breakdown comes as a result of his seething jealousy of Beyonce, a rift with former buddy Jay Z and ongoing problems in his marriage to reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Rumors have been flying for months that Kanye and Kim K’s marriage is in trouble, but she cancelled her appearance at an East Coast event and flew to L.A. to be at Kanye’s side.
According to the BBC, Kim Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, told Extra that Kanye was exhausted and just needed some rest, but that statement was made before West was hospitalized.
“He’s exhausted, he’s just really tired. He’s had a gruelling tour and it’s been a grind so he just needs some rest.”
Kanye’s team have given no official explanation for the cancellation of the remaining 21 dates of the “Life Of Pablo Tour,” but promoters Live Nation are refunding disappointed fans.
The Kardashian Curse
Kanye is just the latest in a string of guys who seem to have suffered a downturn in their fortune after getting involved with a member of the Kardashian family. Earlier this year the New York Daily News reported on the so-called “Kardashian curse.”
Saints football star Reggie Bush’s career went into meltdown after he split with Kim back in 2010. Bush had to forfeit his Heisman Trophy, and he broke his leg returning a punt during the second game of the season. Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin’s career also crashed after he too split with Kim K.

Lamar Odom’s career went into freefall during his marriage to Khloe Kardashian. Odom was hospitalized after a drug overdose in a Nevada brothel, an episode that made his fall from grace complete. Rashad McCants NBA career bombed after he split with Khloe back in 2009. He was traded from the Timberwolves to the Kings, but a poor season resulted in his being cut from the roster and he never played another NBA game. These guys are just a couple of former sports stars whose career bombed after they got involved with Khloe Kardashian.
Back in June, the Daily Mirror reported that Scott Disick had been advised to make a ritual “offering” of a rooster in order to free himself from the Kardashian curse.
So it seems that Kanye West is far from the first person to hit troubles in his career after being involved with one of the Kardashian family. Of course, it is entirely possible that Kanye’s ego is at least partly responsible for his fragile mental state but many will be wondering if the Kardashian curse is real.
