Taylor Swift Gives A Shoutout To Drake On Twitter After ‘Bad Blood’ Apple Commercial

Taylor Swift’s friend and rumored flame, rapper Drake, debuted his new commercial for Apple Music during last night’s 2016 American Music Awards and after he did so, he received a shoutout from Swift herself.

In the clip, which ran on the big screen during the awards show, Drake was seen jamming out to Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” just as she did to his “Jumpman” earlier this year when suddenly he found himself at odds with a benchpress.

Below is the tweet Taylor Swift sent to Drake after the clip debuted.

Taylor Swift included the hashtag, “Drake vs Bench Press” in her tweet, which was reminiscent of the hashtag which began swirling on Twitter when her “Jumpman” commercial for Apple Music was released. At the time, Twitter users included “Taylor vs Treadmill” in their posts when chatting about the hilarious clip in which Taylor Swift was seen wiping out on a treadmill while waving her hands to the hit song, which also included Future.

Taylor Swift was not in attendance during Sunday night’s awards show, but she has been spotted with Drake in recent weeks. In fact, at the end of last month, Taylor Swift helped the rapper celebrate his 30th birthday in Los Angeles and was immediately tied to dating rumors. Then, when Drake shared a photo of the two of them together on his Instagram page weeks later, the rumors were rebooted.

During Drake’s birthday celebration, as reported by Page Six, he and Taylor Swift “were intimately flirting, talking closely and laughing. The only person he spent more time with other than his mom was Taylor,” the source said.

Following the report and photos from the event, Taylor Swift and Drake were flooded with allegations of a romance until a second Page Six report surfaced a short time later. As the outlet explained, Taylor Swift and Drake have been spending time together not because they are dating, but because they’ve reportedly been working on new music together.

“They’ve been in the studio collaborating,” a source told the outlet, noting that Taylor Swift had allegedly been a no-show at Drake’s Virginia Black Halloween party.

The source went on to reveal that despite allegations of a romance with Taylor Swift, Drake was being equally flirty with other women at his Halloween celebration.

Around the time Taylor Swift shared her clip of Drake’s commercial, Drake reportedly fueled rumors of a possible romance with Swift by using the hashtag “Draylor.”

“This has driven fans to contemplate a future where Swift and Drake collaborate; she has written songs for and about her beaus in the past,” The Telegraph revealed to readers on November 21.

“Are the two just involved in an Apple Music marketing stunt — Swift also promotes the brand quite frequently – or is their love pure and real?”

Taylor Swift collaborated on “This is What You Came For” with her former boyfriend Calvin Harris, whom she dated for 15 months prior to their late spring split and has been known to channel her heartbreak into tracks in the past. That said, her alleged collaboration with Drake has not yet been confirmed by either party.

In the weeks since Taylor Swift and Drake were first linked, the singer has been keeping a low profile and as her fellow musicians united at last night’s 2016 American Music Awards, Swift was home with friends. Still, when her longtime best friend, Selena Gomez, took home the award for Best Female Pop/Rock Artist, Swift immediately took to social media where she expressed her excitement for Gomez, who had made her first post-rehab appearance during the event.
