Ndamukong Suh delivered the most brutal and exacting quarterback sack of the season against Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler but he won’t be fined for his tackle.

The hit left Jay Cutler on the ground for a short period of time but resulted in no permanent injury.

Known for what many viewers describe as relentless “dirty play” Suh has since been apologetic for the hit which pulled Cutler hard to the crowd, driving his throwing arm into the turf.

As Jay Cutler lay on the ground Suh in his defense did huddle next to the tackled QB. Suh also spoke with Cutler during the Bears 13-7 victory over the Detroit Lions.

For upset Chicago Bears Fans it should be noted that Jay Cutler after the game called the hit a clean play. Yet despite Cutler’s defense of the hit the play was flagged and the NFL confirmed on Monday that it was in fact an illegal hit.

Suh has been fined for illegal hits on various occasions and for the most part he has refused to apologize, instead receiving fines from the National Football League.

While Jay Cutler didn’t have a problem with the hit receiver Brandon Marshall was not happy, tweeting after the game:

“A Suh. What u did to Jay wasn’t cool. Great players don’t have to do that. A Suh. Something I’ve learned and now passing down to you. Succeed with character.”

In the end the Chicago Bears walked away with the victory and a first place standing in their division.
